This place is small and has a great local atmosphere. The food was good. The staff was friendly. There is just one thing that just didn't go over well for us. Foam plates and plastic ware. You would expect normal dinnerware for a $70.00 dinner. Yes you can do it cheaper but we did the appetizer, soup and main course. All the food was good but the foam took away from the experience. It was like an upscale picnic.

It took us 3 hours from the moment we arrived until we for our food... and my daughter never did get her order. After they brought our food out they told us they were out of what she ordered, after waiting over and hour for our food we just asked for french fries to avoid another wait, she was already crying she was so hungry. The food was terrible, i was sick the next day. Had to ask several times for our water to be refilled and she never brought ice with it, only luke warm water. When we left i complained to the manager and they took 10% off our total bill ($130 for 6 people) which already had 18% tip on it. Waitress did NOT deserve even 8% and our meal was for sure not worth $130..... do NOT recommend!

Came here for our last night of vacation...huge disappointment is an understatement. We read reviews and thought it would be good food for a decent price. I think the only way this place stays in business is because of new tourists like us...not knowing. All dinner plates are $12-$25...and are worth $6-$12.
The staff seems like they are trying to be nice...but I think it's because deep down, they know they are serving poor food.
The best food that was served to our table was the hush puppies. The Cobia was dry and tasteless. Blue crab bisque tasted like it was just out of a can, and the seafood pasta was not worth it. Save your money and go to a local fish market, and make your own. That's what we should have done.
For what I'm getting charged....we were served with plastic plates, plastic cups, and plastic silverware. Save your time and money....won't be returning. Wish we had seen more accurate reviews before we chose to go here.

It is a no-nonsense seafood place. We ate there 3 times while visiting the Hatteras area. We were very pleased all three times.

The place has a certain dive quality to it when you first see it but it obviously clean. Shared the blue crab brushetta (sp?) app and it was out of this world. Main course was fried platter and all was very good to excellent. Did not even mind the paper plates.
