Spent 3 nights and 4 days at this Inn. Even before we arrived Debbie was talking to us and ensuring we made it okay due to the falling snow. She went above and beyond the call of duty for our stay due to the snow storm. The grounds were beautiful when we arrived with the flowing creek next to the Inn and a light dusting of snow but we were in for an even better setting the following morning with the snow on the ground. I highly recommend this Inn due to the setting and the hospitality of the host (Debbie), breakfast was a feast every morning and good to look at prior to eating. It was just AWESOME!

Room Tip: The creekside room was the best.

We loved our stay at the Buck House Inn. The view is breathtaking. It's way off the beaten path. We stayed in the Creekside room and enjoyed the wonderful sounds of the rushing creek until we drifted off to sleep. The only sounds you hear are the sounds of nature. Although the house is early 1900's the rooms are very quiet so you don't have to listen to other guests in their rooms. The Inn is close to the Appalachian trail so it's a great place to enjoy some wonderful hikes. My grandmother had an old house and the decor, walls, doors, fireplaces in the Inn took me back to my childhood days. I can't wait till we can go back. Next time we will stay much longer!

Room Tip: We've loved the Creekside room. We were lulled to sleep by the creek, hense, the name!

This inn was a wonderful reward after several hours of travel, the last stretch down a scenic, winding mountain road. Nestled by a creek with inviting wooden swings stationed near the creek, the inn welcomes anyone who walks through its doors, not just because of the warmth of the chestnut paneling inside because of the warmth and hospitality of Debbie Stebbins, the innkeeper (and Lorie - forgive me if I didn't spell her name right - her assistant). My husband Ralph and I have been to a number of B & B's and not least on our list of what make an inn great are the breakfasts served. And I can say that the breakfasts were excellent and what really made them even better was the camaraderie at the breakfast table! Buck House Inn is not far from some of the most gorgeous mountain scenery you could ask for, along with Appalachian Trail running across the top of Bald Mountain. This place is a winner - and already generating return business quickly. We have already booked our reservation for next fall

Extraordinary early 1900's house in a beautiful mountain setting. The Inn with it's rooms and seating areas make for a really warm place for time spent indoors. The breakfast was top shelf, beautiful to look at and delicious to eat. The property is gorgeous with a creek running beside of the Inn as well as horse stables out back. Very tranquil. Plus, to top it off, the innkeepers are two of the nicest, most hospitable people I have ever met. The place was a PERFECT PACKAGE!

The Buck House Inn is ~ by far ~ the absolute best, most enjoyable, B & B we have ever experienced. And we have stayed in so many over the years that we have lost count. This innkeeper is doing everything right and has created not only a beautiful environment for relaxing and getting away from it all ~ but a welcoming sense of being "at home" from the moment she greets you until you (reluctantly) must leave after enjoying yet another fantastic breakfast, the last of four in our case, before heading home. To us, the food is a big part of the B & B experience and we were never disappointed with offerings like lemon ricotta pancakes, made-from-scratch Belgian waffles with choice of toppings like fresh strawberries, blueberries, pure maple syrup -- and the best bacon ever! Upstairs, outside the guest rooms, you will always find some homemade treats as well as a huge selection of teas, coffees, cocoa and a variety of other snacks to enjoy. Also, there's a little refrigerator stocked with cold drinks -- green tea, wine, beer, cokes, water, etc. I could go on and on, but to sum it up . . . the beauty and serenity of this B & B with the creek running along in front of the house, the deer outside your window at dawn and dusk, the lovely wrap-around porch to relax on as well as the swings overlooking the creek . . . all are more beautiful than their website or any brochure could possibly convey. We could have stayed forever; you will absolutely not be disappointed. But book early ~ folks are starting to catch on that this B & B is not to be missed.

Room Tip: All the rooms are beautiful and restful - at least two have working fireplaces, two are creekside wi...

Very nice setting. The pre-blight chestnut wood used in the contruction of the Inn is beautiful. Bald Mountain Creek is close enough to be a lullaby at night if you leave your windows open. (We were on the creek side of the Inn. I can't say if that applies to the rooms on the opposite side or not.) The beds were extremely plush and comfortable. Since the Inn is far from the nearest town, this may not be the place for you if you are wanting to spend your time primarily in going to nearby stores and entertainment centers. But if you want simply to get away and relax, sit by the stream or on the porch, or perhaps climb nearby Bald Mountain, this is a very good choice.

Truly a unique B&B, the Buck House Inn provides the personal level of service one expects from an owner who truly loves what they are doing. From the fully restored historic house to the modern conveniences of WiFi, comfort is never sacrificed for authenticity. The setting and adjacent amenities are what travellers aspire to in a mountain retreat. Will be back!

Room Tip: Every room provides a unique experience
