We found the front desk very polite and helpful in our stay there. We arrived earlier than normal check in, and they arranged to have our room ready earlier than normal. The staff also got information for us as we had to do some rescheduling for the rest of our vacation due to an approaching hurricane. We had prepaid for an additional day that was non-refundable, but had to leave early due to the coming hurricane and they gladly refunded the remaining day.
The room was clean, comfortable, and quite spacious. Light breakfast was included. It is an older property that is clean, and well maintained. We would definitely choose to stay there when we return. It was the next best thing to being home.

Room Tip: Our room was on the first floor with a king sized bed. It was on the right hand side of the building. It was very quite with no road noise from nearby route40

Stayed overnight during a two day business meeting. Utilized the late check in. Desk staff was extremely polite and helpful. The room was very clean, attractive, and comfortable. I had some work to get done and it was very quiet on the back side of the building, which was appreciated. The workout room was also very nice with clean and updated equipment. The location was very close to lots of restaurant and shopping options. The choices at breakfast were great also. This hotel accepts the State Employee rate which is a bonus.

Front desk managers and staff were wonderful - helpful, welcoming, accommodating, professional. Room was clean, attractive, quiet, comfortable, and a nice size. Location is convenient to Elon, as well as Durham & Chapel Hill. Very close to a nice outdoor style mall and restaurants, and big box stores nearby. Only disappointment - the waffle maker is not out for guest use, so you have to request waffles from the breakfast staff.

Stayed here one night en route from Gatlinburg to Manteo. My only wish is that I could have stayed longer. Check in was quick and efficient. The young lady was polite and showed an interest in her customers which was nice to see. Our room was a generous size with a separate living area. The bed was comfortabe and the room was immaculately clean. The fixtures and fittings were in good condition. There is an interstate to the front of the hotel, however it was in no way bothersome. If in this area again I would have no hesitation about staying here.

We are a military family that travels alot and stayed at this hotel once before in Aug 2011 and remembered the professionalism that Clezell had displayed so we decided to go back the weekend of July 20-22. When I walked in Clezell was at the front desk and greeted me with a warm smile and welcome. I told her my name and she remembered us from last year because my son had left his shoes in the room and she made sure they were sent to us. She assured that we had the proper rate and we were aware of the Carlson rewards program. If every hotel had a Clezell I would stay there. She made our lodging experience worth every penny spent. She truly deserves recognition for her outstanding customer service. Thank you Clezell
