This was a GREAT place to grab an early dinner after a day of walking around. They have a wonderful seating area outside where you can enjoy watching the trains. Great, fast service at the counter and our drinks were kept filled throughout our meal. We had the Fish and Chips and Bangers and Chips. Both were delicious (and enormous)! Definitely the best fish and chips I've ever had. The bangers are nicely spiced and have a great crisp skin. Perfect when dipped in the spicy Coleman's mustard and tangy HP sauce. Delicious thick potato wedges for the chips on both dishes. Their menu had lots of other items that sounded delicious: burgers, onion rings, a really yummy sounding gyro meat platter called donner meat, etc...They had several fun deep fried twists on the basics including a deep fried burger, deep fried spam and a deep fried hot dog. There is an ice cream shop attached that had enormous banana splits and amazing looking milkshakes. Owners and staff were nice and friendly. Good prices, especially for the amount of food you get.We will definitely be back!

Some friends and I recently visited Bryson City to ride the train, visit the museum, sightsee and maybe shop. Unfortunately, we chose Fryday's to grab a quick lunch and so only had time to eat before boarding the train. Some of our party never got their food before having to leave and some had to get boxes to take their food aboard the train. The restaurant seemed to have no organization and very little help--the cook was delivering meals! For some reason the kitchen staff could not multi-task. It was as if they finished one order before starting another and couldn't cook multiple burgers or fish pieces at once. It took my daughter and me over half an hour to get a burger and fries after standing in line to place our order for 15-20 minutes!
Once we got our food the burgers were good but not outstanding. One friend ordered a hot dog--the hot dog was deep fried to shoe leather toughness and the buttered bun was cold--the butter was smeared on it but was never heated on it! The prices were steep, too--$19 for 2 burgers with fries and one drink.

I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone!

I'm sorry that U did not enjoy your time with us, but as U mentioned U stood in line for 15-20
minutes just to place your order. All of our food is cooked to order & also does not come out
according to the trains departure.

I suggest to anyone who is going to ride the Train to arrive in town early if U wish to dine @ any of the great locations around town.
Please read all of our other reviews that we have had since we opened on July 4th & moved us into the top 5 restaurants in Bryson City (which this review will change greatly). The kitchen team (owners) is a husband & wife team who work very hard & give a 110% everyday as our other reviews show.

Again our apologies to Barbara & her friends, but we served close to a 100 people on that particular train & they seemed to be very Happy with our service. The train Barbara's party was on had over 700 hundred people on it, like I said arrive early if U wish to dine Anywhere in town.

& a great place to Eat is @ Fryday's & Sundaes, next to the Train Depot regardless of this unfair review.

Yours Sincerely
Tony & Sharon Woodward

My wife and I grabbed a quick meal here while waiting for the train to depart. We each had the battered hot dog, which was excellent. Nice little place, friendly place, good service.
