My wife and I were sight seeing in the Bryson City area and as we traveled down a street in town, we saw several people sitting on benches eating ice cream and seemed to be enjoying it. We circled the block and checked it out again and they were sitting in front of an ice cream parlor. We continued on and did some sight seeing in the area and as we came back through, I suggested to my wife that we stop and take an ice cream break even in November. No bad time to eat ice cream. When you go inside, it looks like an old style ice cream parlor with lots of Coca Cola styling and décor. The gentleman behind the counter was very friendly and we both got double scoop ice cream cones. There were many other ice cream choices to select from. The ice cream was Blue Bell brand and was very good. Tried to pay with a debit card and the gentleman stated they only took cash. Asked if he could break a hundred dollar bill and he said yes. Went outside to vehicle to get the cash and he already had the change ready for transaction when I came back in. Very nice demeanor and seemed easy to deal with. We went outside and sat to eat our cones and enjoy the cool mountain breeze. Enjoyed it. I recommend you stop in when in the area for an ice cream break and you won't be disappointed.
