Beautifully decorated theme room (we stayed in "The Toy Box") with a full kitchen in an old restored hotel was one of the best places we have ever stayed. The centrally located inn is close to hiking (Smoky Mountains), biking, and rafting. We arrived to an immaculate room with a refrigerator stocked with water, juice, and milk along with breakfast foods and snacks in the kitchen. The hospitality of Ed (one of the owners) was super; he allowed us to keep our bikes in the garage during our visit, and was very helpful with suggestions about restaurants and places to see. Evenings were spent on the front porch in a rocking chair with a glass of wine watching the sun set in the mountains. We frequently visit this area and can not wait to spend another vacation at the Calhoun House. Do not pass up a chance to stay here.

The perfect place to stay! We loved the themes of the suites. Nicely decorated, so comfortable and very, very clean. The breakfast foods and snacks were very much appreciated. We found the location great for touring in our Corvettes. Every day was busy with the Biltmore, Unto These Hills, Wheels Thru Time, Cade's Cove, Great Smoky Mountain Train Ride, Deals Gap (tail of the dragon), shopping in Cherokee and Bryson City and even took some hikes to see waterfalls. A real highlight was coming back to our "home" and enjoying an evening on the porch watching the Smoky Mountains and enjoying the fellowship with the Ciociola family. Thanks for your suggestions on places to go and things to do. A vacation the "Corvette Club" wil never forget!

we stayed 3 days 2 nights. The place is very clean. We came down to ride the dragon tail (DealsGap) on motorcyle. Did that then they told us of other nice rides. Also had motorcycle pinstriped by Scarcrow

Room Tip: No pool or fitness center but can walk to town only 2 blocks

We recently stayed at the Deep Creek Log Cabin associated with Calhoun House Inn and Suites and it was wonderful. It was clean, spacious and perfect for a private getaway after a crazy (but wonderful time) riding The Polar Express. I wish we had booked it for more than just one night. It was so relaxing, private yet not far away from Bryson City (about 5 minutes). I would stay there again and plan on recommending it to anyone who asks. The Christmas decorations were a nice touch and my kids (6 and 8) loved having the loft and bedroom upstairs to themselves. Wonderful experience made better by a great cabin rental. Also, as an aside, when I booked the trip I accidentally booked it for the wrong date (the next day as opposed to a month from that day) and the owner/manager called to make sure I had not made a booking error. He fixed the date and took care of what would have been my expensive mistake. It is worth every penny you pay for this beautiful cabin.

We stayed in the Movie Gallery suite and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The building itself is very old (1920's) however the suite itself is moderized while retaining a certain degree of antique-like charm (original doors, partial old brick walls, original pine floors, etc.). The movie theme is evident throughout with photos of old movie stars and old cameras on display. The suite was well provisioned with fix it yourself breakfast items and the kitchen is very well equipped. The location is excellent as we found it preferable to walk to town center rather than take the car. Other applicable adjectives are: clean, quiet, cozy and comfortable. We would not hesitate to stay there again.
