Excellent restaurant choice in 2012. Better than that in 2013. The newly remodeled restaurant consists of two sections: the original restaurant, and a newly acquired adjacent cabin atmosphere section. Our original visit was for sandwiches and a dessert delicacy, the second for breakfast. The breakfast was excellent, good and friendly service, food served hot and precisely as requested, and the service was exceptional. The atmosphere in both sections was also excellent, but be sure to try out the new cabin side, as well as their new expanded hours of operation. The restrooms were clean and were kept clean. This is a first-try and repeat choice for restaurants in Bryson City.

Our family of four were underwhelmed by the choice of restaurants for dinner in Bryson City in our last couple of Summer visits. However, on this year's visit, we found that Cork & Bean were serving dinner.... we tried it and are convinced it's the best restaurant for dinner in Bryson! This is healthy food (organic, free-range, etc.) prepared very well, and served delicious-looking with good service and atmosphere. Truly a "gourmet" dinner meal. We enjoyed it so much we went back the next day for lunch before we left town, and plan to eat there again (several times) on our next visit to Bryson...

One half is a coffee shop, but with a mountain lodge-vibe. The other side is a restaurant. Plus, there's a bar. They've got local microbrews on tap (look for Heinzelmännchen). They've got sandwiches and dinners all fancied up and delicious Also, quiches and desserts. Don't judge the menu by their website, that's just the everyday stuff. They've got a daily menu that has something for everyone. Wasn't even planning on eating there on my trip, just happened to wander in. Went back for more before my vacation was over. I never ever do that, so that should tell you a lot.

Hands down the BEST BLACK BEAN BURGER EVER!
We have been eating black bean and veggie burgers for a looooong time and i can whole heartedly say that Cork & Bean Black Bean Burger is the best I've ever had. The waiter (GoGators!!) told us about how they prepare their own beans and use all fresh ingredients and hand make the burgers on site - I could tell the difference immediately - such a delicious treat.
It came with their home-made chipotle sour cream dressing, also a wonderful touch. I got the sweet potato fries and they came with a home-made honey dijon dressing, had a little too much dijon for me so the host brought me some local honey to add. He also brought me some of the fire-roasted salsa that came with my husbands burrito.
My husband enojyed the Black Bean Burrito almost as much as my burger. It was filled with Black Beans, sauteed veggies and brown rice and came with the chipotle sour cream and a home made fire roasted pepper salsa. Probably one of the best burritos as well.
We will surely come back when the rest of the family gets to the cabin later this weekend.
You all do a phenomenal job ---great addition to Bryson!!!!

We ended up in Bryson City on this trip, this place was by far our favorite. We first went there in the morning, the coffee was organic and was very good. We were inpressed with the decor so decided to come back for dinner the next night. It was great, I had the best trout that I had had in a long time, my husband had prime rib - great portion and was grass fed beef (that inpressed me). This was our first meal with out the kids so we were glad we chose the Cork & Bean. We look forward to coming back soon!
