“Perfect Getaway”
Reviewed October 9, 2011

Have stayed three times now. The staff is helpful, the rooms are great and the food at the restaurant is fantastic. Honestly, it's worth going just for the restaurant and bar. It is a great contrast to the Cherokee/Pigeon Forge experience. If you are in to nature and 'really' being in the mountains, this is the place. If you need a cabin with it's own private pool in the basement, and can't be more than 10 minutes from a outlet mall, this probably isn't for you. If you want a nice, tasteful place to getaway, see some bears and ride horses, I highly recommend.

We enjoyed 3 nights at the resort in a Fireplace Suite. Booking was a breeze, including packages with local activities (rafting, zipline, jeep tour). The room was comfortable, tidy and clean but it is a rustic resort so don't expect the newest, most modern fixtures. Thirteen Moons restaurant was amazing!!!

I just had a most unique display of customer service here. I ran into an unfortunate experience when I rented a cabin from another company. I came to this resort to see if they could help me with my dilemma. There is not enough space to tell all I have to say, but in this time when most companies seem to do everything possible to avoid personalized customer service, this team knows what it takes to provide the kind of service that will keep me coming back. This extraordinary service existed from the front desk right up to the owners! Even if you don't stay here - try the restaurant for dinner.

I recently rented one the old fashion cabins at the Village. It was dirty. The refrigerator did not work and after reporting it to the front desk, they were still unable to fix it. Needless to say, I had to toss most the food I brought along for the trip. No recourse offered by management. I will not be staying there on my next trip back to the area.

On the other hand, the dining at the restaurant on site was excellent with good live blue grass entertainment. That's a repeater.

We stayed in a fireplace suite. Our room was beautiful. We had a hot tub on the deck and a pool table in the loft. We enjoyed the pool. The food at the restaurant was wonderful! We'll go back again!

Room Tip: The only room type that we saw was the fireplace suite. It was beautiful and I recommend it.

Our 3rd reunion here in the last 21 years. Owner's have changed and many improvements have been made. Still a lot of little issues need to be addressed but the family visit made up for it. Hard to find an affordable spot where we are all close together.

Room Tip: The condos are very large but be sure you know you neighbors or it can be noisy.

Room was clean, beautiful. Our bed squeaked terribly, just to touch it made it squeak.... didn't sleep very well at all.... When we told the staff at the desk they just laughed at me! :(
and I was serious!! When our friends checked out they noted that the staff was not very good.... when presented with an issue.
The restaurant was great, food was very good!!
The facilities were nice and the whole place was very clean!!
