We arrived around 8PM on a Saturday evening after finding little available in Bryson City other than the fast food chains. Ordering from the counter on arrival is more for regulars who come in knowing what they want. It was not a very simple process to discover exactly what the restaurant offered and we ended up getting a basic BBQ sandwich with cole slaw and baked beans. The pulled pork and the cole slaw were both chopped so finely they could almost qualify as ground up. Taste was good however. The BBQ beans were like canned pork and beans that had had minimal seasoning added. Sauces included the typical NC mustard based sauce as well as other sweet and spicy tomato based sauces. At approaching 9PM our group was relaxing and talking as we ate and noticed that no one else was in the restaurant and were informed that it actually closes at 8:30PM. Although we were assured that we were not keeping them from closing up we concluded our meal quickly at that point and left. Don't plan on dining late in Bryson City unless it is at a fast food chain!
