Just peering in the door of the Courtyard Café will show you an older crowd of nicely dressed women out for a ladies lunch. They were able to handle our group of twenty-two at the same time that almost all the other tables were full. That means the noise level was high so maybe it's not the best place for a quiet chat. The wait staff really hustles and service was excellent. I had a trout sandwich which was very good. It had a dressing and melted cheese that made it impossible to eat with my hands; I finally laid it open and picked up my fork and knife. There were three side choices. The spinach salad looked better than my fruit "salad" which consisted only of orange wedges and pineapple chunks. Several salad entrees were deemed great, as well as the quiche and the soups. The real "ooohs" (and laughter) came with the appearances of the $5 desserts. They are enormous and four of us shared one. Located off the main drag further up Main Street, past the Post Office on the ground floor of the Inn on Main.

You can't go wrong with anything on the menu! Whether you order soup, quiche, salad and any combination of the above, everything on the menu is excellent and freshly made. My particular favorite is the asparagus quiche and the tomato basil soup. Did I mention the desserts???Christie will be happy to help you choose.

The correct name by the way is The Court Yard Cafe, not Countryard Cafe. This establishment perhaps tops all I have ever tried in Brevard. The Oddos, Christie and Eddie run the dining room. Christie has the bearing and charm of those glamorous actresses in those 40s films. She goes from table to table checking on all patrons, making sure they understand the menu, ensuring all are enjoying their meals. Satisfaction is her utmost desire and she carries off her role with apparent effortlessness. She employs young ladies for wait staff and they all have been taught their craft from Christie very well. The food is very reasonable, portions are more than adequate. As a finicky eater, I am always impressed by their quality of service.
