“Wine dinner”
Reviewed November 28, 2013

We move to Todd a few months ago and my French friends here recommend this small restaurant . I am French myself and what American call a foodie and I admit very picky when it come to food so I thought let ' s give it a try .
We were not disappointed and the five courses we sampled were all nicely prepared and executed .We will be back to try A la carte and look forward to it .
I definitely recommend that restaurant to people who love good food using fine ingredients .

“Great place!”
Reviewed October 29, 2013

This was a nice, classy restaurant with excellent food! The food wasn't your average porkchop or shrimp, it was much better! The location may make you a little skeptical as it did us since it is in a shopping center. Don't be fooled, when you walk inside you forget all about the outside!

“A GEM -- reserve in advance.”
Reviewed October 26, 2013

Oddly located in a strip mall by the Cinemas in Boone, this restaurant transports you once you enter. The staff are excellent and the diners are happily eating and chatting and eating some more. Go hungry. There's not a wrong step taken. The menu is creative and the attitude is fresh, farm to table fare elevated to fine dining.
Bread - fantastic. Salad, fresh and delicious. Entrees - to die for. Alcohol - plenty of wonderful choices. We ate too much to try the desert. I'm sure it wouldn't disappoint FABULOUS MEAL!

“Upscale, local, and friendly”
Reviewed October 22, 2013

Joy Bistro puts out very good food with more than enough inventiveness to keep you interested on repeat visits. Lots of locals as customers. A warm and friendly atmosphere and not too noisy.

“Wow, excellent food and flexible with vegans”
Reviewed October 17, 2013

We are fish-eating vegans. Their "vegan" fish option was not available (no delivery!), so they prepared the scallops without butter. They were excellent and we appreciated their flexibility. We loved the roasted vegetables, especially the fingerling potatoes. Malbec by the glass was great. Service was attentive and the server knew the menu well. I liked the pomegrante salad, but it was overdressed; I'd recommend asking for salad dressing on the side. We sat across from the open kitchen, but it was not annoying. However, if you make reservations, ask for a booth in the front of the restaurant.
