My wife and I decided to end our stay in Boone with dinner. There was a slight breeze with comfortable temperature. Service was great, food very good and views very beautiful. We will definitely return next summer when we come back to Boone.

Ever been to a restaurant by which every other one on your vacation is judged? That is what happened here so I wish we didn't go on the first night!
We arrived and saw there was a wedding on the patio and I thought uh oh. We sat by the window and enjoye watching the events. Service was excellent! And the best part was the appetizer! I had never had chicken and waffles but these were so creative and so delicious! The waffle was spiced with cayenne and tumeric. The chicken was a small piece of fried breast. There was a little sauce on that and then, maple syrup on the side. $15 for 4. We thought a couple times about just making our meal on another order! But then I would have missed the trout on parmesan grits with asparagas. We were using a restaurant.com cert so we thought we'd plunge into a dessert. The house-made salted caramel Apple pie just put us over the edge to nirvana! With drinks and generous tip it was about $110. But I don't mind paying that for an excellent meal especially when we paid $50 for a crappy meal at a place in Blowing Rock. (See my post under Storie Street Grill.)

Great food and service. very nice environment. they treat you like family. staff is very nice. they are helpful and willing to help you decide what is the best choice. food was prepared just as described and sitting outside was great. price is good for quality. wine choices are good and always have several local beer selections. once you go you will want to go back. .

Drinks on the patio as you watch the sun set. Ahh. Dinner either outside or inside. We enjoyed the sea bass and the filet minon (separately). Depending on how much you drink and the wine price, figure on $40-$60 per person. Worth it if you have an occasion to celebrate.

Ate dinner here this past weekend and the restaurant is nice and view is extraordinary, however, the food was overpriced and not very good at all. Worth coming for the view but if you do enjoy some drinks and lean towards the cheaper end of the menu...i.e. burger...
