Our family signed up for the full day raft trip on the French Broad. We had two teenage boys who were looking for a little more adventure than the Nantahala. My husband, teenage daughter and two 12 year olds were in a raft with Sloan, and the boys had the ducks. Sloan was fun and informative. He let us do a few things that were not "on the brochure" so to speak, and the river was definitely a little bit more adventurous than the Nantahala. The teen boys in the ducks were challenged, but in retrospect, the rest of us had it easier because our guide let us "rest" most of the time, while the ducks need constant rowing pretty much. The lunch was fine for us, and the day was sunny and beautiful. There was a healthy amount of fun and competition between the other guides and their rafters as well. The trip to Tenn. was longer than we expected, but I like seeing new mountain roads. Next time we will go caving. Thanks. The Charsley Family
