“Not all I expected for the $$$$”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 4, 2013

First of all, DO NOT have dinner here on a Friday night. Way to much going on. They have music out front, which is great, but seems everyone decided to come inside and get cocktails. Took my wife about 20 minutes to get a margarita, not good when you're paying around $100 for the meal, drinks, etc. No priority shown for the dinner guest. The manager did bring me another Bloody Mary, but it was not the same as the first one. I'm sure it was rushed just to shut us up. That would have been fine as well, had the food been exceptional, but it wasn't close. We shoulod have stopped with the appetizer and salad, and we would have been fine. Scallops were very salty and the beef short ribs were just okay. The waiter was very young and try as he did, not everything on the menu is an "excellent choice sir".....I felt I could have ordered a piece of toast or a crouton and he was have said "very great excellent choice tonight sir" LOL! Anyway, with the other really good restaurants in town, we won't go back for dinner, maybe for drinks and the music on the lawn, but that would be it. I will say, this was our first night in town and it only improved from there with the other restaurants. Stories, Bistro Roca, Village Cafe, and the Town Tavern was fantastic for the Clemson game...great hospitality by Justin and his team!

“Great food friendly staff”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 27, 2013

We enjoyed sitting outside on the porch and dinning on crab cakes and lamb chops, both were great, and large serving as well, the vegetables were well prepared with 3 cheeses and walnuts. We recommend this restaurant to our guests all the time at Wahoos Adventures. We have always gotten excellent feedback from all who dine there. Give them a try when visiting the area you'll be pleased.

“Top Notch!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 26, 2013

Our first meal at The Best Cellar (at the Inn at Ragged Gardens) was for an anniversary dinner and we were not disappointed. The setting was lovely (we sat on the porch), the food fabulous, and the wait staff friendly and helpful. (It's an added bonus that you can walk around the nice shops in Blowing Rock before or after dinner.) Highly recommended.

“Anniversary Celebration”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 9, 2013

We have celebrated our anniversary for the last five years at this wonderful restaurant. Their food is absolutely off the charts. Yes, expensive, worth it, yes! Just wish they were closer to us so we could go every week. My husband loves their seafood platter appetizer and I HAVE to have the oysters Rockefeller. Then the Steak Oscar. This year the staff surprised us with a piece of their Lime Coconut Cake for our celebration! The service is excellent, the food is excellent and the atmosphere is rustic and delightful for a Mountain Community! Good Lord willing, we will be there again next year, if not before!
