We happened onto this restaurant as we were walking down the Main St. of blowing rock. We went in for dinner and was told we would have a over an hour wait. We gave our names, and continued to explore fabulous Blowing rock and had a drink across the street in a sports pub. When we returned, a bit early, we were able to get seat at their small bar and spoke to one of the seasonal residents who frequent the Storie Street Grille. They all raved about the food. This restaurant uses primarily fresh, organic and local foods.
We were seated in a lovely table in the middle of the restaurant. Our server was very busy, but tried to be as attentive as she could. My husband ordered a prime rib and I ordered meatloaf. Presentations were elegant. The fresh roasted root vegetables were wonderful. Hope we are in the area again.

Had dinner last night with friends. No one liked their food. Mine was a tiny portion of Atlantic Sea Bass, which came with two small sides and no salad for $29.
One friend's steak was so tough he could hardly eat it. Our waiter explained that they have a new chef. This used to be a fine restaurant. Hope they are still there next year.

Love sitting out on the back patio . . . isn't that why we come to NC in the summer? The food is great and the beer and wine selections are also varied and good.

Great variety of foods, never had a bad meal in 12 trys. The Pot Roast is to die for. Fried green tomato sandwich is great, all selections are prepared fresh, great selection of wines to choose from. I highly recomend trying Storie Street Grille when in Blowing Rock, you can't go wrong.

Great food with a Southern twist, plenty of sweet tea and great service. In particular a wonderful server named Will. He was so pleasant and attentive and fun we actually went back and ate there again the next day.
