We've been going to Storie Street since it opened about 13 years ago and have never been disappointed. The owners are eager to please and, with an expanded back patio area, more and more people are experiencing this great restaurant.
The only reason this review is not a perfect '5+' is because of the beer selection. Good choices in terms of bottled beer, but there is no tap beer and with Appalachian Mountain Brewery just eight miles down the road, this should no longer be an issue. At any rate, we're beer snobs and let our server, Will, know it at the start.
Will was outstanding and very knowledgeable about the bottle beer on hand and also about every food item on the menu.
It was my first wife's 34th anniversary and the owners and Will made sure we were well attended to and even gave us a bottle of their own marinade as a present as we left.
Be aware that Storie Street can be crowded at times and somewhat cramped getting in and out (the bar is at the front with only six or seven seats). Wine list is complete and carries a good selection of NC wines.
We're locals and also enjoy our time at the Grille.
