Review of The Blowing Rock

The Blowing Rock

I like the Blowing Rock. Yes 6$ to see it is a little steep but they haft to make money to stay afloat. Its a very nice view and we went back in the winter time. We was lucky enough to have it snow while we was there. I really like to observation deck. I would defiantly go back and see it again. It's one of those things you just haft to do in your life time.

We stopped at The Blowing Rock to stretch our legs after a long drive. There is a $6 per person entry fee. It was just ok. It's definitely a rock but it is not as big as the pictures make it look. The scenery is beautiful and it was a nice clean place to see. It was worth it just for us to have memories in our later years. It's worth it if you can focus on the beauty surrounding the rock because it is very pretty.

The drive was beautiful going to Blowing Rock. The entry fee is $6.00 for Adults. There isn't much to the facility. The views are nice, but you can see those also on the Parkway. Save your money and explore other parts of the state.

I remember coming to the Blowing Rock as a little girl. I can not remember if the museum and gift shop were there long ago. There were lots of souvenirs and clothing items in the gift shop. Very nice place to stop and spend some time.

Any picture of The Blowing Rock that I had ever seen makes it look like something majestic and beautiful. The landscape surrounding it sure is... but the rock itself? No. It's rather small, doesn't allow for too much of a view (the pavilions around it are better) and it's a bit of a waste of money. Save your cash and go elsewhere for sightseeing that is sure to be just as breathtaking, for a portion of the price (if not free).

Good news: the rock itself obviously photographs well, making it look more imposing than it is in actuality.
