My husband and I arrived after a day of hiking and we were welcomed warmly. We have had several meals here and we always enjoy ourselves. Their beers on tap are great and they have a reasonable wine list. We started with eggplant frites with a honey mustard sauce. My husband had a delicious flank steak with a flavorful filled crepe and I enjoyed the lobster roll. Business is brisk and the atmosphere is lively! Enjoy!

We had eaten earlier that day at the Village Cafe for brunch but needed something light to eat. We decided to go to Bistro Roca. The wait was going to be an hour but the bar area is first come, first serve. We opted for the latter. The wait staff at the bar was very friendly and attentive. The chair are comfortable at the bar but they all made you feel like you were eight years old. I am petite and it felt very awkward but I quickly forgot about it when our mussels came out..........bacon, bleu cheese, grape tomatoes and bread to soak up all the juices. We then had the antlers flatbread pizza...........sausage, marinara and mozzarella cheese.........delicious. Everyone seemed so relaxed and happily enjoying their meals. We will return.

The place is very nice but that's where the nice ends we had lunch three of us so lets get to it. One had salmon sandwich. One had pastrami sandwich.o had the habanero burger. So easy lunches took just over an hour to get after ordering fries were cold salmon was cold and there was no sign of anythong resembling habanero spice or any spice on the burger...our waitress was nowhere most of the time and when asked about our meeal 45 minutes in it took her five minutes to get back to us....I hate writing a bad review but truth be told we will never go back to many nice places to waste our time and money here. So if you want a fair meal and have time waste and money to waste eat here.

The meal and service was fantastic! Will definitely return! The beef tip manicotti was a delicious surprise! Squid was unique - cooked to perfection and melted in my mouth!

We have visited Blowing Rock many times and while the town has a number of notable restaurants, Bistro Roca is always on our list to enjoy. Our recent visit was for lunch, and while the atmosphere is busy, the place is still cozy. It is hard to find a restaurant that has such a good feel to it - not a tourist place, and yet not just for the locals. the food is fresh, with nice twists on regular offerings. They have a great local and regional beer list. My wife thought the bloody mary's - hand made - were superb. Staff is good at managing the timing as our reservation time was spot on. And reservations are a must.
