I love this place. The staff, the atmosphere, and THE FOOD! I stopped in for a brief solo moment and enjoyed fish tacos and a side white bean salad prepared by ace chef Michael Foreman.Few times there are when you come home an hour later and say "my... that was..really awesome! A MUST. (Beware, this is well known so prepare for crowds)

We had lunch on Saturday. The restaurant is just a short walk from Main Street in the Historic District. There was a good selection on the menu and was hard to decide which items to try. I had the B.R. Burger with Vermont Cheddar. It was delicious. I had seen a review to order meat more done than usual to get the right result. I ordered my burger medium well and it was medium. My husband had the pork stew and three cheese grilled sandwich which he said was really good.

It was less hectic there than in the restaurants on Main Street. The service was great. Will definitely go back hopefully for dinner the next time.

Bistro Roca has a marvelous ambience. It's the perfect place for a family meal or a get together with friends. The menu changes with the seasons and you will quickly find a favorite dish each season that you'll yearn for when it isn't on the menu. My current favorite is the Bahn mi Sandwich. . . magnificent!! Lunch is great, dinner is great, the bar scene is great!! If you don't take advantage of a meal, or many meals, at Bistro Roca, you're only hurting yourself!

92 sanitation rating. Not good. But since we had a reservation and few choices, we decided to stay. Indifferent wait staff. Mediocre in every way. Cheese dip apps were good. Calamari portion small and extra, unexpected white sauce on top was unwelcome. Pizza bland and crust tasteless. "kobe" Tri tip steak was cooked more than medium and was about as good as the London broil I get on sale at Harris Teeter. Hearing the dessert list only made us want to leave even more quickly. Pretentious. Not special.

My party of four had lunch here today and it was a great experience. The flatbread was delicious and the guys loved the bison burgers. My personal favorite item was the Brussel Sprout salad. Soup of the day looked good, too. Fun and cozy atmosphere eating out on the "porch." This is definitely not your typical place with same-old menu items. Lots of creativity and gourmet touches here but not the fancy prices. What a treasure! If we lived in Blowing Rock, this would be regular stop for us. Highly recommend.
