Chris went above & beyond in his job-he is a real people person! We arrived late due to out directions and after placing a phone call to him he found us & got us there-was very pleasant when we arrived & took the time to explain the Inn to us. The cleanliness of our room was like home.(not afraid to walk in my bare feet) Our room with such a fantastic view and our private stone deck was like being in Heaven!!!! I want to go back in the Fall to see the leaves -it has to be breath taking. Their food at breakfast was hot, made to order and a nice variety each day. This is a place worth going to just to sit out on the deck and sip coffee and read!!!! GREAT

I love the location of the Gideon Ridge. This was our 10th time there. The staff is very attentive and the breakfast provided in the morning was awesome! I especially enjoy sitting in the Great Room/Library enjoying a good book by the fireplace and the quiet relaxing ambiance it provides. I did miss the tradition of putting tea and sweets out at 3:00 like in years past! Also, bring back the large comfortable sofa by the fireplace! That provided a comfortable space to gather with friends, read, and even nap!

Have stayed here before and always enjoy this nice, warm, and oh so charming inn. Wonderful porch overlooking the mountains, great breakfast and afternoon tea by the fire. The staff really spoiled us! They are the spirit behind this place. All the rooms are delightful. We loved our master bedroom with gorgeous views and gas fireplace. My husband and I enjoyed the Billiard Room playing pool and sipping wine. Highly recommend!

The service at Gideon Ridge was very welcoming and helpful. The atmosphere was relaxed, yet luxurious. We stayed in the sunrise room which had a breathtaking view of the Appalachian Mountains. Best Mountain view I have ever had at an inn before! The dinner, afternoon tea, and breakfast were 5 star! The inn is located within minutes of the Blowing Rock and very close to downtown Blowing Rock, NC.
