“Great food and view”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 26, 2014

This place has some good food with a great view. Service was fast and efficient. The trout sandwich is very good and almost to much for one person. There is alot of road construction in front, but hopefully it will be done soon.

“Loud and food not great”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 11, 2014

I visited on June 7th. There is limited outside seating so we were not able to get outside which would have been preferable. Initially we were seated in the bar - where a loud wedding party was. We asked to be moved. We were then seated where there was a band. The music wasn't bad but they could not sing. We ordered wine which was mediocre at best. My friend and I split a Reuben which was awful. The meat was cut way too thick. We asked for potato salad instead of chips or fries. The waitress came back later and let us know they don't have potato salad. She was nice but didn't seem to know the menu. It was restaurant week. But what was show cased on the special menu was nothing like what they usually serve. You would think, they would show case what was on the menu. We won't be back.

“Good Food...Great View”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 9, 2014

For a get-away weekend in Boone/Blowing Rock we were advised to go to Canyons to eat. We were not disappointed! If nothing else, go there to sit on the deck and look at the view down through the canyon and toward the mountain ranges in the distance...beautiful. Besides that the service was excellent, great 3 course special with delicious clam chowder, very good (and big) trout sandwich, and wonderful brownie with ice cream. Spinach artichoke dip was average and the fish and chips (fries) were good and plentiful. We were not steered wrong in going there and would go back again!

“Nice family meal”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 7, 2014

We had an early dinner with our two small kids. The food was good, the soup, clam chowder and carrot curry were both amazing! The view was amazing as well. Friendly service and it was a nice place to eat with the kids, at least it was 5 to 7ish. We have been before and will continue to return.

“Fantastic trout & veggies”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 3, 2014

The trout sandwich, which is usually on special, is fantastic! Instead of fries or chips, I always get the veggie medley, which is also fantastic. If the trout wasn't so good, I would just get a double order of the veggies!
