We've been coming to Blowing Rock for over 20 years. Although the town is getting more crowded than ever before, we can always count on the charm at this place. The grounds alone are worth the stay. If you don't mind spending a little extra, ask for one of the log cabin rooms for an extra special occasion. This and the Meadowbrook Inn are the best places to stay downtown, but we prefer the Azalea Garden for its smaller charm.

I love your hotel but one particular time I stayed there was terrible. Please do not, do not ever, rent the room at the stairs, behind the office. I was awakened most of night and then again at 4:30 a.m. by people going up and down the stairs! This was truly a nightmare! I could barely drive home the next day due to lack of sleep. I've had wonderful visits to your hotel but I would recommend staying in one of the rooms on the far end, preferably the last room in the row! ( For the owners, again, do not ever rent this room if you want to keep customers coming back! How would you feel w/out a night's sleep after you forked out over 100 dollars?)
The room at the far end is gorgeous, very quiet and sitting outside beside the woods was so peaceful!

We've been staying at the Azalea Garden Inn for years. We discovered Blowing Rock about 20 years ago, and had stayed at other hotels and motels, but upon finding Azalea, we've made it a point to go twice a year, even though it's a full days ride from home. The owners and staff have always been extremely friendly, and make us feel welcome each time we visit. The gardens are the most beautiful in Blowing Rock, and the accomodations are perfect. In addition, it's very convienient to downtown ,and Art in the Park, which is held each month in the Summer. All-in-all, a very memorable experience that we look forward to each Summer and Fall. Can't wait to go again this year

This is a nightmare managed (ruined?) by careless Floridians. They even managed to spoil morning coffee if the drink & ice machine drum & whirr didn't rob us of a night's sleep in the breezeway. What appears to be a dream world of delights from the street becomes a lesser shop of horrors. We got no satisfaction start to finish and wonder what was the matter. Get off.

My wife and I recentlly returned from BR for the Art in the Park art show. We frequently visit BR but usually stay with relatives. This time we stayed here and loved it. It was absolutely immaculate. It was kind of like home away from home...thick towels, comfotable bed, coffee in the morning, park in front of your room,r easonably priced, and very convenient to downtown. We were most impressed with the cleanliness (inside and outside) Would definitely go back.

This was absolutely the most wonderful anniversary we've had. The cabin was beautiful and so clean, the view uncomparrable. The staff was so kind. The town of Blowing Rock is like a fairy tale. I would love to spend more time there. We can't wait to visit again.

My husband and I stayed in the Azalea Garden Inn over the 4th of July weekend and were very happy with the accomodations. The Azalea Garden Inn is a comfortable, clean, affordable motel in a wonderful location. It is within easy walking distance of the shops and restaurants on Main Street. This motel stands out from other motels in the area because of its lovely gardens. After a busy day of hiking and shoping, it was wonderful relaxing on the deck in the garden. The room had cable television, air conditioning (not all motels in the area have it) a telephone (free local calls), and a comfortable bed. Young children, pets and smoking are not permited. Coffee is provided in the morning, but no breakfast of any kind.Given that we were visiting during one of the most popular weekends of the year, the price of $110 per night was most reasonable. The rooms are cheaper at less popular times. (In October -- leaf season -- they are higher.)Book early, it's popular.
