When we first arrived, the place was very nice. We checked in, had a great day, ducks on the property were an enjoyment for my 3 yr old. There was a wedding taking place on the property. Not a problem until 12:30 a.m. when the wedding was apparently over but the party wasn't. It continued in the room next to ours! Several of the wedding guests must have been so dazed and confused from all the celebration that they continued to knock on our hotel door instead of the correct door next to ours while shouting "Whoo Whoo" like idots in the hallway. I called the front desk which stated they would take care of it but after 10 more minutes of Whoo whoo, I had enough and stormed to the lobby in my pajamas. That is where I had to make a scene threatening to call the police if they couldn't handle the problem. The party next door finally relocated to the pool. God help the people that boarded that area. The next morning, all I recieved at check-out was a snot attitude from some young female that deserved a swift kick in the shin bone. $236 for one loud restless night.
Congrats to the bride & groom and congrats to the hotel for never anticipating our stay again.

Room Tip: Ask if there's a wedding on the property & where are their rooms located before booking yours.

We booked a suite since we had our baby with us. The room was nice and clean and had a divider which allowed our baby to take naps quietly while the adults talked and/or watched tv in the adjacent room. The bed was very comfortable too! The front desk staff were very nice and helpful. The hotel is within walking distance of the main strip of Blowing Rock. Would definitely recommend and would return for future trips.

They would rather have an empty room than make any adjustments on their weekend prices! Thursday room price-$134, Friday room price- $205. The front desk manager stated that the prices reflect the "peak-time/weekend" rate and that they could not discount the rate. RIdiculous and rude!

The place is very nice as well as the people at the front desk. They were always happy to help with directions and there if you needed anything. The grounds were very well kept. The room we got was nice and VERY CLEAN. We enjoyed the Wi-Fi to keep in touch with people back home via E-mail and also keep an eye on the weather. A washer and dryer came in handy too. You had to walk a little way to get to it but no biggie. The Inn is not far from the road where most the restaurants are. If your young you could walk there no problem. A lot of people walk up and down that road to eat or just sight see. We went when the weather was cool and very few bugs if any. If you need to drive no problem they have an entrance/exit to a road that leads up to the road where the restaurants are. the Inn is in a great location to everything. I highly recommend staying there. Very nice. I would go back and my parents feel the same way.

Visited for 4 nights in May, 2011. Friendly staff. Disappointed that lounge was not open. Outside terrace closed for wedding reception. Very limited breakfast. However, great location with free parking. Will definitely stay again very soon.

Room Tip: Check room listing. Variety of rooms available.
