Description: Camp Coffee Roasters, formerly known as Bald Guy Brew of Blowing Rock has a new name but we are still under the same great management with our same owners. We are located inside Footsloggers in an old stone building on Main Street in Blowing Rock. Up in the attic you will find our warn and cozy espresso bar. We look forward to presenting our fresh roasted - fair trade and organic coffees and finely crafted espresso drinks...CHEERS! Stop by and check out our new roastery as well.

Hidden away at the top of a outdoor gear store, offers decent coffee. Would be nice to have somewhere to sit outside on a deck or something. Guy behind counter serving coffee not overly friendly.

We stopped into this coffee shop which is in a loft area above an outdoor (think REI) provisions store. Very clean, neat and eclectic. Loved the Lavender Latte. Great relaxing areas to take a break while touring Blowing Rock.

Based on other reviews, I guess I expected too much. I thought the coffee was okay but it was served very, very hot. Too hot to even be able to hold the cup.
Also, their selection was far less than what is posted on their web site.

Thank you for your review. I would like to say I appreciate your honesty in reviewing our coffee shop. I apologize for the less the stellar experience at our shop as out GOAL is to exceed expectations every day. Having said that I would like to say that our web site and our bean board offer may varietals of coffee and they are available as the seasons dictate and the crops are available. This weekend we do have 9 varietals available here which come from around the world. We strive to offer the best from our origin countries.
In regards to you coffee being to hot, I would also like to apologize. Our guidelines are closely mirrored to those of the SCAA and the World Barista Champion Standards which is between 197 and 201 ( VERY HOT). This optimizes the extractions of the flavor and profiles of a freshly roasted bean. If you are ever in the neighborhood again, please stop by and see us. We would love to have another chance to showcase our barista skills which we take very seriously. Cheers!!!

We had a hard time finding this little coffee shop - it's upstairs in the Footsloggers shop. The store front has a little white, round sign for Bald Guy Brewery, so watch for the Footsloggers sign - much easier to see. Our search & the climb up the stairs was worth it, tho. The lady barista (who I think is the owner) was so friendly & full of information about the coffee she was serving. Fresh baked goods are also available - we sampled the strawberry brownies & cinnamon rolls. We will definitely visit again on our next trip to Blowing Rock.
