Great location to access many Blue Ridge Parkway attractions. Short drives to Linville Falls and Crabtree Falls. The main activities we were interested in was hiking to different falls. Cabin was very clean and pet friendly. Quiet and peaceful location. 15 mins from restaurants and groceries. Owner is very helpful if you have questions or any issues.
Jill was wonderful, the cabin was clean, great location, all of Jill's suggestions of places not to miss were on point. We loved the hot tub and seclusion. We will be back. Very reasonable rates compared to other places we have stayed.
This was a secret getaway for my husband on our anniversary. We had cozy fires, site seeing, festival in town and just a calm loving weekend. Much needed. Thank you Jill for making our special time so relaxing.
What an awesome cabin and Jill is such an excellent host that exceeded all our expectations. The cabin is spacious, clean and the views are heavenly. From hot tub to full kitchen, spacious bedrooms we never worried about anything because we knew Jill was just a phone call away. This has to be on your must do list such a beautiful destination just off the Blue Ridge Parkway just a few miles from historic Spruce Pine. She gives great insight into the areas attractions, dining and events. Just a awesome host and great property. Thanks Jill you rock, can’t wait to return.
Situated near the Blue Ridge Parkway with the Linville Gorge Wilderness and with the ski areas of North Carolina in close proximity, this winter deal is hard to beat. The cabin was clean and big enough for two (or more), and the back porch offers a great view of the river. I reclined in the hot tub and gazing out at the mountains without a care in the world! The roads are all well maintained to get there, and the Blue Ridge Parkway with beautiful views is nearby. You can cook out or cook in or there are restaurants of varying price ranges - its your choice. The owner was great for booking purposes and I did have a question about the amenities that she answered immediately. With the winter special, you can't beat this place for the price and location. It is a great deal even without the special
We arrived on January 10th and will stay to January the 16th. We really enjoyed the cabin it was nice and cozy for the two of us on our honeymoon. I highly recommend this to others and will make a reservation in the future. It had everything you would need minus your food. I recommend that you bring some extra paper towels maybe even paper plates if you don't like doing dishes but overall it was very nice. It has 2 bedrooms but it was just right for us (one couple).
Note: We did not have cellular phone service (AT&T and Sprint) but there was Wi-Fi so if you can do wifi-calling on your cellular phone you will be okay or Facebook Messenger. There is a regular telephone in the cabin, but we didn't try calling anyone on it.
I give it 5 stars.
Jill’s Cabin is so inviting to stay in and the scenery surrounding this beautiful cabin is breathtaking. My wife and I stayed 5 days for our 27th Anniversary this year and sight-seed the following areas:
Grandfather Mountain (A must see)
Gem mining (great education and experience)
Linville Falls (Absolutely stunning)
We stayed from November 29 through December 5 2017. Jill was very helpful answering questions and recommendations for places to visit during our stay. We will definitely go back in the future.
