This family run motel is perfect for an overnight stay in a quiet area of Blowing Rock. The bedroom was small, but not cramped; the quilted rugs and country decor were welcoming in the manner that you would expect from Grandma's spare room. It was very clean, and the Queen-sized bed was quite comfortable (if you're OK with sleeping on a single pillow). The bathroom was spotless and well-equipped. In-room coffee was provided; it was no worse than that on offer at most American hotels. All of the "standard cable package" TV channels were available, there was free WiFi, and an itty-bitty refrigerator that you can safely unplug if, like me, your sleep improves when the gurgling and rattling is silenced. Great value.

My husband and I stayed at the Alpine Village Inn this past weekend for our anniversary and we had a great time. The room was very nice and the owners were so friendly and gave us very helpful advice regarding where to eat and the activities that were available nearby. It was an easy walk from the Inn to the shops nearby. We are looking forward to our next trip to Blowing Rock and we will certainly stay at the Alspine Village Inn again!

My husband and I decided to stay at the Alpine Village Inn because of TA reviews and it's closeness to the restaurants and shops in Blowing Rock. Our room was very clean and updated so no complaints there. We were able to walk to shops and restaurants. My only problem was my own fault. When we booked our room I decided to save money by booking the smallest room since we would be checking in around dinner time and leaving in the morning. The room was very nice but just too small for the two of us. It was a corner room and the door to the room next to us was right outside our window. We went to sleep with the window open and when our neighbors came in at 3 a.m. they were basically right ourside our window which was right next to our bed. This woud not stop me from staying at the Alpine Village Inn again. I would just spend a little more to get a bigger room.

Room Tip: Don't book the small room unless you are a solo traveler.

Unfamiliar with the area and with our intended accommodation fully booked for the night, we found ourselves booked into the Alpine Village Inn. Initially we only planned on spending one night but due to the innkeepers’ hospitality and comfortable rooms, we decided to stay an extra day and explore the area.

The innkeepers, Kathy and Charlie, were very friendly and accommodating giving us lots of advice about the area. Charlie is an avid golfer (if golf is your thing). Plus they have two of the friendliest dogs you’ll ever meet. The atmosphere was very relaxed and there was a lovely mix of families, couples and bikers during our stay.

The location is great – about 2 blocks from downtown Main St. Our room was clean and had 2 big comfy beds. We also had rocking chairs outside our room. The inn is well maintained and very clean. The only downside is the narrow and small bathroom. However, it was a great place to stay and a lovely surprise for us on our road trip.

Room Tip: Pet friendly rooms available.

Blowing Rock was a suprise. A quiet little mountain town with plenty of places to eat, shop and explore. I suggest taking the hike up grandfather mountain. The Alpine Village was a great place to stay. Walking distance to Blowing Rock shops and a quick drive to the nature trails. The folks at Alpine Village were very warm and welcoming and offered great info on the area. Great bargin, clean rooms and smiling people. We will be back!

My husband and I stayed here for two nights this week and found it to be a delight. The price was very reasonable and the room was clean and comfortable. It didn't matter that the bathroom was small because it was clean and updated. The beds were very comfortable. The flowers outside were so enjoyable, and we spent a lot of time relaxing outside of our room. A lot of TLC goes into this location. The owners Katherine and Charles were friendly, helpful, and always available. Charles even gave us tips on fun things to do as we were checking out, so we had a great trip home. Our dog loved staying here, too. The location was perfect with a short walk to downtown and its wonderful little shops and restaurants (and more flowers!). We can't wait to go back.

Blowing Rock has become one of our favorite summer vacation spots. Thankfully, we know just where to stay when we go - the Alpine Village Inn! The owners are welcoming and they remembered us from the year before when we visited. We were able to purchase our tickets to Tweetsie Railroad at the Inn and Charles gave us some helpful directions up to Grandfather Mountain. He also gave us some great suggestions for where to play golf along with some restaurants we hadn't tried yet in the area. I wouldn't want to stay anywhere else and appreciate the service, the friendliness and the feeling of being right at home while we're on vacation. Thanks again Alpine Village Inn! See you next summer or hopefully sooner.

Room Tip: Check with Charles and Kathy for restaurant recommendations if you're new to the area.
