Have been going to this restaurant for over 20 years. It never has a bad day. Wonderful specials, but the main menu continues to be attractive, breakfast anytime, if that's your thing. Great Bloody Mary!

The Village Inn is an old victorian house that sits behind some of the businesses on Main Street. Our breakfast was absolutely excellent as was the service. We both had eggs with fruit, new potatoes, toast with their special bread, and we split an order of french toast. Wow, it was great. We've also had lunch here on an earlier vacation and that was great too. We'll definitely be back.

To celebrate our anniversary my Wife and I drove to Blowing Rock to catch autumn colors today (10/6). Blowing Rock is always delightful this time of year. We made reservations for lunch at Village Café as my Wife has dined there in the past with her girl friends. It is a short walk off South Main Street through a gardenlike area (very appealing). We dined outside and the service was very good. I ordered a black bean soup along with trout. Both were very bland (disappointing). Also my wife ordered a chicken crepe which was also bland. She ordered a dessert and said that it was delightful. Our check was approximately $50 (no alcohol).

While they were nice people I think we'll try something different on our next visit.

We went to this cute little cafe for the first time and loved walking on the hidden stone path to the garden. Fresh, homemade bread and several egg dishes to choose from. Great breakfast and very attentive staff. A new favorite!
