They only serve breakfast and lunch, (although you can order breakfast anytime they are open), they are a bit hard to locate down a stone path next to the ice cream and chocolate shop, they are in a very old frame building on multiple levels up stairwells, you really need a reservation (particularly during 'leaf' season), if you eat on the 2nd floor - both genders share the 'one seat' Men's Room - a lot can be said to make the Village Cafe sound like a not so wonderful place to eat -- but -- it is really very good and well worth your time and effort. Great menu with extensive breakfast and lunch offerings. Quality and quantity of food is very good interesting building history. right in the center of town. Friendly staff. Informative website. I very positively recommend the Village Cafe!

This is my absolute favorite place to eat in Blowing Rock. The food is delicious and the setting is so peaceful and beautiful. A hidden gem in the middle of the town. Annie, the owner runs a tight ship and it definitely shows. Her employees are dedicated and very professional. You won't be disappointed.

Great food, we had breakfast but I really believe anything you would order would be top notch. The staff is friendly and attentive. The fireplace gives it a very cozy atmosphere. It is down a path that is quaint and charming...I might not appreciate the walk if it was raining or icy though...

Always love the Village Cafe -- especially on a nice day. Dining in the lovely garden is so special and of course the food is great.

Visited Boone a couple weeks ago and went over to Blowing Rock to eat at my all time favorite restaurant, The Village Cafe. I LOVE the Charleston Benedict (like Eggs Benedict, but has home made, wonderful, crab cakes instead of canadian bacon). The Pecan Waffle with fruit is awesome too. Never disappointed with the food or the great service. I highly recommend this restaurant.
