A spontaneous trip on a Friday afternoon with no place to stay didn't seem like such a bad idea. Little did I know it was artist in the park weekend, and my idea for a secluded cabin was quickly shattered. After riding and calling around for a few hours we passed the Inn. It was beautiful but we couldn't afford the only cabin they had left that was off property. So we went on to another quaint little motel. After seeing just the lobby of the Inn, there was NO WAY any where else would do when the idea of mountain lodging came to mind. At 9 PM we barely made it in when the lady at the front desk made us feel quickly at home (even though we held her up from going home). She made sure we knew directions to the cabin and even stayed a little later to call the cabin a few minutes later to make sure we arrived. As soon as we pulled in the drive we knew it was EXACTLY what we were looking for all those hours of riding around. From the front door to back, every foot of the cabin was amazing. The porch was even better, and finding this gem (even if only for a couple hours) made our whole trip worth while. We definitely will be back to cabin 6!
