We cannot say enough good things about tonight's delightful and delicious wedding rehearsal dinner. Thirty of our friends and family gathered to eat, drink, and celebrate...and enjoyed every minute and mouthful! In preparation for this much-anticipated event, catering manager provided guidance in helping us choose a menu (which she printed for our guests), decorated the tables with fresh flowers and candles, and selected a highly competent and courteous waitstaff for our party. If a successful marriage is in any way connected to the success of the rehearsal dinner, these two will be back to celebrate their 50th anniversary in 2064!

Very poor service--it took them over one hour to get out food to us. The atmosphere was about the best thing I could recommend. Don't expect to get in and out soon, and for goodness sakes don't order the meat loaf and smashed potatoes. Maybe it was an off night. I sure hope so. Never again

Wonderful charming Bistro with excellent and healthy choices on the menu. The Spinach & arugula Salad with Blackened Salmon was incredible! The Pesto Vinaigrette was light and flavorful! Sitting on the front porch, watching the world go by and taking in the VIEWS! Reasonably priced, and the service was great. My wife an I shared a slice of their Yellow Pineapple cake with Whipped cream coconut frosting. Light yet enjoyable.

Have visited the restaurant on many occasions as it is one of the few places in Black Mountain that has a full menu, and not just sandwiches or bar food.
The food is more of a local home cooked style, with good portions and not delivered in a fancy type style. The service will vary depending on the day and their anticipated clients, as I have been there when only 1 person was working, or when there are 3 or 4 staff. The prices are reasonable and generally the food is good, but it can vary. Had a Philly Steak sandwich, and the bread was rather dry, but is was probably left over bread from the day before.
The meatloaf is one of the best, and typical southern, with mashed potatoes, and beans.

We regularly visit and enjoy the friendly atmosphere. Last visit was in the early evening on the porch outside in perfect weather with white tablecloths. Food and service were impeccable. Good value enjoying surrounding mountain view>
