“Delightful menu, charming waitress and want to go back to try more dishes.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 19, 2009

Our waitress was charming, the food was out of this world. The menu was filled with unique dishes and cleaver food combinations. The Hungarian Mushroom soup was great. We are anxious to return so we can try more items on the menu.

“A wonderful place for Lunch!!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 8, 2009

Three friends and I traveled about 75 miles to eat at Veranda and to visit Black Mountain. We did it to celebrate a birthday of one of the friends. It was a very rewarding experience!! The food was excellent, the service could not have been better and the atmosphere was delighful of a quaint cafe. The portions of sandwiches, wraps, and soups were enough to satisfy most appetites. The dessert servings were plentiful and so reasonably priced. We are already planning another trip to Veranda next month. It is well worth the trip!!!

“The best lunch i have ever had, and what a great location and staff!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 5, 2009

My grandma, mom, cousin and i ate at the veranda a few days ago while visitng black mountain. the lunch was SO SO SO delicious! my cousin and i ate a turkey, pesto, spinich tomato sanwhich on focacia and it was soo good that the day that i got home, i went to the store and bought the indgredients so i could make my own! my granmother got the asian chicken wrap and she said it was SO yummy! and my mom got the veggie wrap, which was GREAT as well! Each meal came with chips, a drink and some orange slices.
the service was great! i think at one point the manager came over and talked to us, and the waitreses were very helpfull and professional. all the art in the reastaraunt is made by local artists and its just beautiful! if you are ever in the black mountain area, i would definately recomend this reastaraunt. i could tell it was the popular spot for all the locals, as we had to wait almost an hour to get in! but i mustsay...it was definatley worth the wait!

two thumbs up from me!!
