Our families wanted some Italian food, so we read the reviews and decided to stop. Its a quaint little restaurant with wonderful food. We ordered the Bruschetta and wow! It was good. The garlic bread was shaped like a pizza and the boys devoured it. We ordered some pizza and lasagna and it was all good. It may be a bit overpriced but seems normal for the area. The only other complaint would be the size of the restaurant. This is also the reason for 4 stars instead of 5. They have a lot of tables for a small area, therefore it makes it very loud inside. Our two families were split into 2 tables of 4 (our choice) but the tables were separated by the door to the kitchen. There was no space between the back of our chair and the actual door. Our son got hit by the door a couple of times. No real apologies, which makes me think it probably happens more than once. I think if they could somehow expand or maybe make some more room inside, it might be more enjoyable. Such great food and nice staff for their lack of space to ruin.

Enjoyed it very much-wood fired makes a difference in how the crust tastes. Had the Veggie and the Napoli and our small group ate every bit of it. Would go back and sit outside again (pretty crowded inside).

On Cinco de Mayo they had this killer Mexican pizza with refried beans as the sauce, and that's a great example of the different types of pies they'll often have on special. Decent outdoor seating and the big tables inside are a great place for larger families to get together, though they're usually really, really busy. More expensive than the other places but you can get a "loyalty card" (buy 10 get one free or something like that) and all of their ingredients are fresh and typically local.

We went as a family for an evening away from the campsite. Our daughter is gluten intolerant, so we were drawn to Fresh by their GF offerings. We don't often get to enjoy pizza out as a family. Our service was good and our waiter was very friendly. The pizza did not disappoint. My husband and I had the Alaskan, with smoked salmon-super yummy. The kids had more traditional fare, but still great. The atmosphere was somewhat plain, but it was packed and bustling, for sure. We would definitely return if back in the area!

In our family we have a Vegan, Wheat and many-other-food sensitivities person, and a normal eater. We all happen to love pizza and can never agree on a place to eat. "Fresh", however, made us all happy!
Three separate pizzas for the three of us was not inexpensive but we all had EXACTLY what we craved and better than that, leftovers!! Gluten free crust was exceptionally good-not too sweet nor too dry. Vegan and regular crust may have been the same (not sure) and the vegan "cheese" topping was as much appreciated as the fresh toppings. We were actually staying in Asheville, but a kind and lovely vendor at the Saturday Pack Square Art Festival recommended the drive to Black Mountain to satisfy our mutually exclusive cravings. It was well worth the 20 minute drive and if back in the area we would definitely return. The wait staff is friendly and charming. The setting is a bit austere compared to the food quality but who cares when everybody is happy and eating pizza?
