“A favorite hangout”

I love the porch. Love the easy atmosphere. And what a great breakfast. I also love that they have Pisgah beer on tap always.

“Wedding rehearsal dinner, lunch, breakfast”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 3, 2012

Rehearsal dinner was wonderful and everyone enjoyed the food and the atmosphere. Because of this experience, some went back for breakfast or lunch. We picked up sandwich to go on our trip back home.

“Great!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 29, 2012

When in Black Mountain, I like to brunch here. The welcoming front porch makes you want to linger. Fabulous, local ingredients make their food good. I liked having a Pisgah(local) pale ale while eating their 'mater sandwich-a tomato and bacon sandwich with aioli. Other people at our table had breakfast fair and delicious sandwiches. The menu is a little southern. I think the grits are the best I've ever had. Lots and lots of locals seem to eat here.

“Charming!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 23, 2012

Quaint little off the beaten path place in lovely Black Mountain. Looks like a victorian home converted into a cute little restaurant. Love to have the option of sitting outside on the wrap around porch and watch the town go by, also a bonus to be able to have our dog sit with us, they even brought her a bowl of water. Started with the peach iced tea, tasted fresh brewed with slices of peach floating in it-very tasty! Ordered the grilled pimento cheese and tomato sandwich with a side of black bean salad, loved it all. Service was great, menu was limited but what they offer is interesting and seasonal-would definitely return, breakfast menu looked really good as well.

“Good food and really nice outdoor dining.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 25, 2012

We live within walking distance of Louise's Kitchen so decided to check it out! We walked over for breakfast one morning. It was a little chilly out but we chose to eat our breakfast on the large front porch. You order your food at a counter, pay and then choose your seat. Someone will bring your food when it's ready. My husband had a traditional man breakfast with meat, eggs and bread. He was very pleased. I had granola with yogurt and a really good cup of coffee. It was all good and satisfying. The restaurant uses local food, including the coffee. It all tastes good and sitting out on the porch is delightful.
