Tucker Lake
Ranked #2 of 7 things to do in Benson
Attraction details
Reviewed July 19, 2014 via mobile

A large group of us drove almost an hour to Tucker Lake. All of the paddle boats were broken except one and there was only one 2 seater kayak. The water was also a murkey green and the picnic area had red ants and lots of gnats.

This was our first trip to Tucker Lake and this was the first weekend they opened for the 2014 season. I am kind of up in the air on the pricing.... adults were $15 each and my 8 yr old was $10. For our family of four it was $55 to get in. Pricing aside, there were a lot of water activities for our 8 yr old and our 17 yr old. They also have a wakeboarding area, which is extra but less than $10. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. There are many picnic tables and grills, and lots of parking. Overall it was worth it - a great day spent with the family at the lake (:

We love Tucker Lake. I wish I would have discovered it sooner. The water is crystal clear and the facilities are clean. The price if not too bad either. You can bring your own food and BBQ/picnic. There are several water slides, rope swings, and platforms for the kids to jump and climb. They recently added a cable system for wake boarding too. It is a good getaway that is local and fun for the whole family. Bring your sunscreen but avoid the busy holidays!

We loved the lake!

You can park in the shade and picnic in addition to the water fun. Next time we will bring hot dogs & hamburgers as well as a big cooler filled with drinks & side dishes.

There is an air pump for inflatable water toys & a small snack bar along with a place to rent kayaks. An additional fee is charged for the inflatables & the wake boarding.

The lifeguards were very attentive.

I was impressed with the variety of things to do. Little kids can climb on floating "logs" or a small polar bear slide, big kids can go on the large slides or zip lines into the water. The sand is perfect for playing in.

I thought the cost was a bargain, even after paying for he extras. We will definitely go back!
