“More of a bar than a place to eat...not impressed”

I've been here several times and it's okay, but nothing special. There is a huge bar and after about 8 the crowd is pretty seedy. The interior look runs down and somewhat dirty. It's a big place with a room can reserve for big parties or whatever, but I wouldn't bother. The service is hit and miss, but I think it's slow and they have messed up my order and such. It's right beside a place called the String Bean, which has much better food and cleaner. I really can't recommend this place other than to go have have a beer, but then there's numerous bars in town for that too, much nicer, one with hot waitresses called Jax.

Had a great Rueben with fries and friend had Grilled Chicken Sandwich with Fries, BOTH GREAT!!!!! Sweet tea perfect, not too strong or aweet. Servers can be a little slow but they are good. Will go back many times!! And share with friends and Family.

Belmont Food & Beverage, or BF&B as the locals call it, is actually one of my favorite places to eat locally, and yet it is not the first place people usually try when visiting the area. First, it looks more like a bar than a restaurant from the outside... and it is a bar, really. But it's also very much a restaurant. My non-imbibing friends and I have no issue at all dining there. Then, it is a block off of main street and not as visible as some of the other restaurants. It is definitely worth a look, however.
Being a little away from the main street, BF&B has better parking. Once inside, you will find a comfortable, casual, environment with excellent food and good service. While many of the other downtown restaurants turn customers away because of limited seating capacity and no waiting area, BF&B has plenty of room and is happy to see you. And while other places are so loud you cannot hold a conversation without screaming, BF&B is suprisingly calm, especially earlier in the evening.
Try the fried pickles (your Cardiologist will not like it, but your taste buds will), and the Bowl of Meat (yes, that is actually a menu item - quite popular among low-carbivores and cave men)!
