Owner description: Daniel Stowe Botanical Garden, the Carolinas’ Garden for All Seasons, provides guests a chance to reconnect with nature. Located within 380 acres on the banks of Lake Wylie, spectacular gardens, sparkling fountains, a conservatory dedicated to the display of tropical plants and orchids, a visitor pavilion, gift shop and nature walk await the visitor. HGTV named it one of the nation’s “20 Great Gardens” and USA TODAY says the Garden is one of the nation’s best places to “welcome fall with a flourish.” Committed to horticultural excellence, Daniel Stowe Botanical Garden is a must-see for all ages.

Even though this is not the best time of year to visit, this place made up for it with their extensive array of Christmas lights. Very nice facility and appears well kept. The orchid collection while not that large is well worth seeing. One of the reasons it hasn't got more reviews is that it is really near anything. I am anxious to go back with everything is in bloom. Highly recommended.

Very well laid out, inviting, thoughtful staff, interesting species. Went with young grandchildren and they found it interesting and not too tiring.

Spent an afternoon at the Gardens with my wife and son. Took tons of photos and enjoyed the amazing flowers. Definitely a place to visit each season of the year.

We attended a special evening at the garden with specialty and craft brewed bear booths set up. Also live entertainment and food. This was my first visit to the garden. We had plenty of time to wander parts of the garden befoe it got dark. It is a formal design with a large greenhouse that specializes in raising orchids. There are sculptures sprinkled around the garden as well. The entrance to the gardens is a beautiful building with a stained glass dome overhead. Very nice merchandise in the gift store. We will go back in the early day so we can roam the entire garden. Our event was at night so it go dark after about 2 hours. I'd recommend this garden to anyone who loves a calming and beautiful walk past sculptures and water features, and of course the orchid pavilion. We will be back.
