“Scared by the owner_”
Reviewed December 2, 2016 for a stay in November 2016

None of the electrical outlet worked on the upper levell whited meant there was no tv in that bed room. the owner had her maintance person come by after we lost all water in the unit.We were told there was a water shortage and that an electrician was needed for the outlet problems, We were there for three nights and no electrician ever showed up;

We were accused of tracking mud ion her rug. We are an Asian family and do not wear shoes in the house,,ever, The only one who did wear shoes was her maintenance lady who wore rubber boots/shoes through out the house.

We were accused of leaving the oven dirty even though we never uses it.
We were told we got mud on the outside deck and it needed to be pressure washed.

Beware the owner , the owner kept coming up with one bogus claim after another trying to steal our despite. Don't let it happen to you.

Children (3 boys) and dogs were left to roam free around the property, saw where property manager checked the outside water valve and it was confirmed by plumber that nothing was wrong and some probably kept shutting it off. All of the outlets upstairs worked except for two in the room and being Thanksgiving weekend, and electrician was not available. Muddy dog was allowed in the brand new spa - pictures of the water and filter as well as the property manager eyewitnessing and reprimanding them for it, confirm that the adults were not supervising the children. Muddy paws (photos available) were found all over the bottom carpeted level and on the cushions which were all thrown on the floor throughout the house. Trash was left on the kitchen counter and coffee tables as well as on the floor. Our cabin was totally disrespected by this family and they did not adhere to the rules and regulations outlined in the rental agreement.

This cabin getaway was exactly what my wife and I were looking for. We were interested in a quiet, clean, and cozy place to stay. Where we can bring our dogs, and enjoy activities with them. From the minute we arrived we stopped to hear how quiet it was, only a faint flow of water from the nearby stream which was very relaxing. Once in the house we explored the place to see what we had to work with. It was absolutely Dexter style clean and fragrant. I loved all the welcoming touches including a bowl of water that was already filled when we got there. Our little dog jumped in the bed and laid down and drank from her water bowl. We all felt welcomed the minute we walked in.
The house lay out makes it perfect for a couple wanting a romantic time or big enough to have a full family stay and enjoy with no issues. The Wi-Fi is fast and consistent enough for your games and Amazon shopping. I Loved how the Lights in the place could be adjusted for low level which kept the place so warm and relaxing. The huge amount of hiking trails and outdoor activities is staggering. We must have seen 15 waterfalls during our 5 day stay. There are many close by places to eat and buy supplies if need be, and Banner Elk is only a few miles away. It is a fun little town that has a great park that is very kid, pet, and exercise friendly. In Banner Elk they have white water rafting/kayaking, water tubing, and a lot of other guided activities that are thrilling to try. We recommend High Mountain Expedition to do White Water Kayaking. It was a complete blast.
The Owner made it a very pleasant stay and was helpful when we wanted to extend with no warning. All in all i would highly recommend staying at this wonderful clean cabin if you get the chance. You wont regret it.
