Four Seasons at Beech
Reviewed February 5, 2013

We enjoyed our stay at the 4 Seasons. The unit accomodated our party, and the snow came. The entire staff to include Tim, Pam, and Allison helped us with places to drive to, things to see, and assure us, being from Phoenix, that the snow shouldn't stop our sight seeing. One couldn't ask for a more careing staff to assist vacationeers. As we travel the States each year, this is a timeshare in the mountains, not in the middle of Orlando, so don't expect a city setting. Expect a more rustic setting, and a slower pace of life, pretty neat. The one bedroom with 2 beds and bath area, and the ajoining living room, kitchen, and a second bath area, provided us room to enjoy our stay. Daily, the room staff attended to any required needs. We are happy our short term planning, this time, turned out so well.

Room Tip: Corner rooms have a good view of the valley and ski slopes. Ours was 309.

We "Stopped by" Beech Mntn during a family vacation so the kids could catch a glimpse of the snow on the ski slopes. While driving up the mountain it began to flurry. by the time we reached the top it was coming down pretty good. We rented some sleds and had a great time with the kids. We got a bite to eat at Brick Oven Pizza. It was now a blizzard! The owner suggested The FOUR SEASONS which was very close by. As we neared the hotel our car slid down the road and we got stuck in the snow. Our front wheel drive car couldn't make it out. we were pulled out by a local with his truck and we made it inside for the night.
The lobby was great with a huge stone fireplace which warmed us up instantly.

The next morning the car wouldn't start. Turns out the fuel pump was burned out. It was December 31st and there were no auto part stores open. We found a garage through AAA but they wouldn't get the parts for another 5 days. We were waiting for word from the garage the whole time we were there, constantly manning our cell phones.

The crew at the Four Seasons were so understanding and helpful to my wife, our four year old little girl and me. We would get up every morning and not know if we were leaving or not. This lasted for 5 days. The Manager, Calder, would extend the check out time for three to five hours until we got news from the garage. This happened everyday. They let us stay in the room rather than check out by 11am and wait around the lobby. They offerd to drive us to the nearest grocery store to get food and supplies for the long stay. The price of the room was great and they helped us as the week went along.

The whole staff was very accommodating and caring and made us feel at home. When we talk about the incident we say "Things happen for a reason" and "It could have been worse". Well things could have been much worse and for whatever reason, we are so grateful that we had a safe, warm, family oriented place to call home for awhile.

Thank youto the whole staff at The Four Seasons Beech Mntn!!

My honey and I loved our stay! We were a little skeptical because it was an old hotel. Our room was really clean and neat no smell at all. The service was great the front desk called around for us to see who was opened for breakfast. The only thing that did disappoint me was the restaurant attached to it closed down the week before we came. Overall I say it's a great value with great employees!

We had a 2 story with TINY spiral staircase and 2 queen beds facing the parking lot. One very small bath and closet. Downstairs on a very dirty, spotted rug was a kitchen area with 2 eyes, no oven or even toaster oven, ancient hideabed sofa and tiny bathroom FACING THE PARKING LOT. There are no locks on the windows on the first floor, so we backed our pick up to the window and loaded there, since there is no one to help you carry and no carts and all gravel so they would not roll anyway. We are over 60 and these things become very important. They told us the rooms normally go from $80 to $100, so with my maintenance fee, Interval annual fee and the exchange fee, we paid $153 a night as we left a night early. The walls are paper thin, lots of late nite and 4am loud voices and THEY ALLOW SMOKING IN ALL ROOMS.

Room Tip: No quiet rooms, only corner suites have a balcony large enough for 2 plastic chairs and there is NO...

We stayed in room 223. This room had definitely been partied in - hard. The carpet had many major stains. The Dining Room table was discolored from too many beer drinking games? The bath tub caulk moldy and black! No shampoo and a used kitchen sponge (I'm glad I brought my own). It was NOT a home away from home. The staff, however is AWESOME and very knowledgeable about the activities in the area. The housekeepers are AWESOME. We had to contact Maintenance to clean out the outside grill because it was overflowing with ashes. Great location at the top of the mountain.

My family qand I decided to take a break from the normal beach summer vacation and chose to visit the NC mountains for a week. We stayed at the four seasons for a week over July 4th week. The fireworks from the beech mountain ski lodge were spectacular to see from our private balcony or downstairs porch. This place is a reasonable drive to all of the major parks and attractions during the summer and is right downhill from the Beech mountain ski resort. The staff gave us great advice to help and plan our outings and we couldn't be happier. The only place that was more than a 35 to 45 minute drive was the Cherokee Indian reservation. The rooms are really condos and most are 2 floors and have a small stove, full size fridge and the basic things for a kitchenette. You can save a tone of money on a vacation here by utilizing the kitchen. The condos are spacious and clean with all working. The only problem that I think needs to be addressed by the hotel is the cell reception and wireless Internet should be available. Right now there is no internet connections anywhere except in the lobby. The internet in the lobby worked fine but it was a bit inconvenient especially for this day and age. That coupled with the fact that cell reception is horrible all over the building should be addressed. That was my only complaint for the week. I would encourage anyone that wants a weekend getaway to consider this hotel. There is a nice rec room on the first floor complete with a piano, air hockey, ping pong table, and pool table along with a tv and fireplace. The workout facilities are also located in a room adjacent to the rec room and you can see the rec room easily. The workout equipment was up to date and there is a flat screen tv in there also in front of the cardio equipment. Great place to stay. The kids practically lived in the rec room and even my 2 yo daughter loved that room while I worked out, she watched tv.

I own a timeshare and purchased a getaway to four Seasons at Beech ! I was scared as we drove into the parking lot because i knew from the outside this was a old building and wouldn't be anything like the resorts I'm use to trading into. The picture of the hotel on Trip Advisor is true to date. I had a very quick check in and had no problem getting a upgrade , Our suite was very spacious with a kitchen ,two bathrooms ,spiral staircase leading up to the master bedroom with two queen beds and was very clean. The staff ( all shifts )was very helpful with giving me advice on local attractions. I visited Grand Father Mountain, Banner House Museum,Mast General Store,Tanger Outlets and a couple of the local restaurants The area has a lot to do whitewater rafting, zip lining, mystery hill, gem mines, golf, fishing and much much more . I will tell all my friends about this hidden gem in the mountains of North Carolina.
