My husband-to-be chose Pecan Tree Inn after we spent time on a couple of occassions looking at the various offerings in Beaufort. I did not want to know where we would be spending our honeymoon and the Pecan Tree Inn was perfect!
Very relaxing, nice spacious room (Beaufort) with 4 poster open canopy bed. This room is bayed out so there is very little contact with room nextdoor and only on one side. Otherside is outside stairway from upper patio.
Dave was gracious and the selection of food outstanding! Even had seating outside.
I gave a 4 for cleanliness only because one of the robes was stained around the neck (yuck). Only other complaint would be the lighting from the hallway and one of the outside spotlights (both of which are necessary for safety reasons). I'm sensative to light and found my sleep disrupted even with the blinds drawn.
Cute place, old, great town, WONDERFUL food! Made friends on the upper pato while they fed the friendly squirrel and the squabbling blue jay and cardinal.
Oh, unless someone moved it, there is a restraunt journal in the room and we wrote up all the places we ate in, good and bad.
No in-room refridge. Ice is available. Wireless does work, tho phone (other than Verizon) is chancy.
Stronly recommend the Pecan Tree Inn
You will not be disappointed!
(oh, we also happened to find out after the fact that my sister and her groom stayed there, in the same room, for their honeymoon!)

Thanks for the positive feedback. We have retired the offending robe. As for cellular service in the area, We have used Alltel and AT&T here for years with no problems.

After staying at the inn two years ago we had the bar set pretty high for our recent stay. Dave, Allison and staff surpassed our expectations. Great place, great location, great advise.

Pecan Tree was the perfect place to stay. Nice quiet bed and breakfast with nicely appointed rooms and very accomodating host. Breakfast had a nice delicious assortment of breads, fruit and liquids. The front porch was available for outdoor dining. Two other porches were perfect for relaxing and enjoying the weather. Even on our departure day you are allowed to stay and enjoy the porches and even use the powder room to change shower etc. It is the perfect location for just dropping by the shops on Front street. We will be back.

I recently had a wonderful stay at the Pecan Tree Inn in Beaufort, NC after reading great reviews on TripAdvisor. (Also, they were the only establishment to respond to my email request for additional info.) I found the Pecan Tree Inn to be very accommodating and provided a nice variety of breakfast items that fit into my low-carb diet. Complimentary sodas are always available to guests, the atmosphere was very relaxing and parking behind the inn was excellent. A dinner recommendation by the innkeeper, Dave, at Aqua was fantastic. I will definitely stay here again when I am in town again in the fall!

We just returned from our first visit to Beaufort and had a delightful stay at the Pecan Tree Inn. Our room, one of seven in the inn, was bright, clean and very comfortable. We were served a delicious continental breakfast each morning, with baked goods prepared in-house by the innkeeper. There are three comfortable porches perfect for reading or relaxing. The inn has a great location, just a 1/2 block from the waterfront and very close to excellent restaurants. We recommend it highly.

The Pecan Tree Inn is a beautiful historic bed and breakfast that is large enough to afford privacy but has cozy public spaces to relax in. The room was clean, and the host was attentive and available without being intrusive. In addition, he was kind enough to bake gluten-free breads for breakfast as my wife's diet requires. The breakfasts included a variety of seasonal fruits and fresh baked breads - excellent. Parking was convenient. The Inn is in an old seaport town, about a block from the docks, quiet but within easy walking distance of several excellent restaurants. We enjoyed five nights there. Dave was an excellent host. This was our second stay there, and we plan to return.

We had ample parking and were in a perfect location for visiting our friends and for accessing downtown Beaufort. We would go back again and enjoy the hospitality.
