I was at Finz a month ago, and I had the best food! The place is small, but don't underestimate the food. Generous portions for a good price. Our sever was wonderful...ask for Jen! Will definetly be back.

Sign of a great restaurant is when the meal is consistently good every time you go.
Finz delivers that every time we go..shrimp burger and crab cake sandwiches are family favorites...always great!

People "From Off" need to understand that most of the seafood except in the high end places are going to serve it local style and that means fried. They might broil it for you, but it won't be as good. If you don't eat fried seafood, fine, but that's not the genre of places like Finz. Years ago this restaurant used to be a gas station before Beaufort became popular with tourists. You can still get your boat filled with gas down on the docks. It's one of the few places in town where you can do that. But the few towards Johnson Island (Carrot Island), Pivers Island, and towards Beaufort inlet is great. Sit out on the covered deck. Eat onion rings (best in town) and have an oyster burger. Don't know what it is? It's Carteret County's version of a fried oyster po'boy served on a hamburger bun. Shrimp burgers are good, too. Relax and enjoy the view.

this place was disappointing if you do not want fried seafood. the service was good. drinks strong. bartender nice. but everything was fried that was reasonably priced for lunch. The locaiton is great but townies were drinking at the bar so from a booth, you couldn't really see the water. I like going to the locals hangout but this group had potty mouths. The fried oysters were nice and juicy and not too greasy but overall i was hoping for better here.
