Good food, reasonably priced. Sat on the deck overlooking the water, great view.
Service was good too as was the dessert.

Visited tonight after reading reviews on Trip Advisor, lovely location however food lacking, had the mixed grill, fish overcooked would have been nice with a slice of lemon. Service rushed, would not go back.

The Spouter Inn is on the Beaufort waterfront with some nice scenic views, provided you can get a table that faces the water. If you go at off times (not the weekend during tourist season) you can usually get a table of your choice. Their food as a rule is very good. And desserts are likewise very good. The only problem I ever had there was with service during a crowded weekend visit - it was both slow and impersonal. So we avoid going when it is very crowded or long lines.

The food was very good. I got the shrimp and grits appetizer for my meal and it was plenty. It was a little spicey though. Everything is pricey, but it's in a tourist town and to be expected. My husband said the crab cake was the best he's every had!

I went for dinner with my friend Mileidys who came from Colombia to visit during her vacations I was very impressed with the food and service. Even though it was a little cool, we chose to dine outside. Thkoe view of the waterfront was great and the fact that we were able to see a dolphin while we were eating was a plus to the experience. I had the Scallops Parmesano and Mile had the 12 oz Ribeye Steak, both plates were presented well and tastes delicious. Our server was very attentive and took good care of us. Totally recommend this restaurant ti dine with friends or a lovely date.
