My husband and I have been frequenting Clawsons quite a bit lately. We've had the fish and chips, which was fried to perfection (and I don't normally like flounder). The buttermilk brine chicken sandwich with tomato jam, bacon, and swiss, AMAZING, best chicken sandwich ever. The Cobb salad, most inventively delicious twist to a Cobb, I've ever had, and the angus beef burger with fried jalapeños and pimento cheese, outstanding!! I've heard some disappointment about loosing a couple of staple items, but I honestly don't see what all the fuss is about!! Clawsons food quality and creativity is better than it has ever been!! Keep up the good work guys!!

Nostalgic atmosphere and very good food and service. The seafood bisque contained very generous amounts of a variety of fresh seafood with no filler and was excellent. We also enjoyed the mahi salad. A very good reliable return choice.

Memorial Day weekend is always busy in Beaufort NC. Hadn't been to Clawson's in years only because we have favorites when we come in for the holiday. We had an extra day but the Cedar Inn was booked so we decided on Clawson's. What a nice surprise. Food was great, service was fantastic, atmosphere was really friendly

We ate here with friends last night & once again we were not disappointed. All dishes were perfect for all our party. These ranged from Ahi tuna starter through cheesy fries to mahi mahi & a wonderful seared tuna steak cooked rare as requested & exceptionally tasty. Our waitress was very good, happy & attentive. Its not the place for outside views as its on the wrong side of front street however it does have some interesting decor more like an old Western bar but with some local memorabilia. Its definitely worth a visit.

We decided to visit this restaurant based on previous ratings. My cousin had heard about "Shrimp N Grits" and decided to try it=more grits than shrimp but good nonetheless. Her husband ordered the triple fried platter and was pleased. My hubby had the crab cakes and I had shrimp over noodles. All in all, food was very good but the DESERTS were delicious!!!! Key lime pie and the Rocky road were the selections-needless to say, we needed to walk a little longer to help wear off the yum factor!
