This was a first tapas experience for my family. We had a lot of questions for our server. He was patient and offered great advice. The food came out in a timely manner. We were not rushed but told to relax and enjoy our food. The food was delicious and we each had a different favorite. Portions and prices matched.

Um all I can say is we waited over an hour for 1 $8 shrimp (not kidding) and some frozen appetizers. I just don't know what the fuss is all about.

This was the most ridiculous restaurant we have ever been to. The "Tapas" or Little plates are based on one...not to share as the other restaurants we have been to. In NYC at a tapas bar each plate easily served a bite to four people. At $9.00 a Filet Mignon was about the size of a half-inch thick, two inch by two inch piece of meat (that I have seen come out better from a dog food can.) Everything we ate was in the upper price range....nothing was memorable. After over $50.00 for two, we went home hungry. Presentation was awful and taste bland.

While it is ambitious to have such a diverse menu, I'm afraid the food quality suffers. There is no way that with this many items on the menu is the chef able to keep fresh food in stock. This may work in a larger city restaurant with high volume but not in Banner Elk. Food tastes frozen or vacuum packed and not made to order.

Food is mediocre at best - most items taste like frozen appetizers.
Service is very dependant on who you get - changes frequently depending on season and Lees McRae College's student servers down the street.
Live in Banner Elk area for the summers, most holidays and several weekends a month and have tried this restaurant over 5 times hoping it would be better - it has not. Don't waste the money on something you can get at the Lowes Foods down the road and heat up yourself.
