The food and service were both great. Be sure to make a reservation for dinner if you want to eat here. Avoid the Inn. Stay somewhere else!

Jackalope's View has new owners who were meeting and greeting guests when we were there. They were very friendly and genuinely wanted our feedback. I had trout and my partner had wiener schnitzel. Both were excellent. The view over the mountains is breathtaking. We had the crème brulee for dessert and it was very good. We ordered escargot as an appetizer and loved it too! Really, I have nothing bad to say about it and I will return again. The prices were not extravagant for a restaurant with a view like this and food like this. It is a great special occasion place for those on limited budgets or an every night place for those with fatter wallets!

We unwittingly visited Jackaloupes due to the advertisement of a view. We were planning on a few drinks and appetizers outside on a beautiful afternoon... Well the kitchen doesn't open til 5 & it was 2:30! The sever was very accommodating offering drinks on the patio while he continued to set up the dining area. The drinks were well made and the view spectacular. The menu looked delicious. The server even offered to open the kitchen early for us, but we decided to come back another day. We had been hiking and not wearing the appropriate attire (or smell!) for this fine dining establishment.

Ate here this past weekend and thoroughly enjoyed the food, as well as the view. Dine on the patio if weather permits, as the scenery is breathtaking! Although Sugar top does taint the view a bit...what an eyesore of a hotel/condo unit! Food was fabulous...I had the duck and my husband had the scallops. Even on our drive home, he was dreaming about those scallops! We had the beef empanadas for a starter and it was incredible! We loved the quaint atmosphere, as we got to visit with some of the other diners, as well as the new owners. The Vault Bar upstairs is also a nice place relax, watch sports, and play some pool. Would definitely return to this place!
