“Lovely campground”
Reviewed August 13, 2013

Great campground with stunning lake views. Very close for visiting Fort Niagara and the American side of Niagara Falls. Also close to Lewiston bridge for crossing over into Canada. 1 shop with not much in it! Friendly and helpful staff. Good sites for motorhomes.

Very nice campground near Niagara Falls. Electricity on camp site but water a few steps away. Comfort room quite far from most camp sites. NO staff at night so the carefew if 10 pm is a joke. First night party stopped at 12:30 and 3:30 am next night. Very noisy it was!

We stayed for the Forth of July weekend and enjoyed the activities at Fort Niagara. A great perk is that when you stay at a State Park Campground there are 3 parking lots at the Falls where parking is free with your camping registration tag. The campground was full for the holiday, so our site was not one of the best. I would recommend selecting a waterfront site if possible - the view is awesome!

Two kids (ages 2 and 9) and dad stopped at the campground after hours on a late June weekday night. The large campground was not busy. We found a nice secluded site on the west side of the campground and pitched our tent on flat ground.
The campground is fairly open with few trees (maybe one or two per site). But the campsites are large, compared to other campgrounds, which allow for plenty of room to stretch out.
We just used the park as a stop for the night, so we didn't use the facilities, other than the showers and nice central playground. The showers were good and the playground was large with plenty of equipment and a full size soccer field.
The highlight of our experience was an early morning visit to the lake, during which be skipped rounded flat stones along the lake's quiet surface.

Room Tip: all the campsites are excellent. flat ground throughout. no rocks. And, large campsites.

Stayed here during a recent trip to Niagara Falls. Nice location on Lake Ontario, spots are fine, although not much privacy (few trees). Bathhouses were kept clean and had no issues with noise.
Certainly beat paying out the nose for a hotel on a holiday weekend.

Campground is about 15 minute drive from Niagara Falls, and there are some interesting things to do along the way - check out Fort Niagara, and the Gorge Trails, especially at Whirlpool. We didn't use the bike path, but it looked inviting. We found the Power Station overlook to be very interesting, somewhat to our surprise.

Stayed here for three nights while visiting the Niagara Falls area. Our campsite was right on Lake Ontario and the views were incredible! The facilities were immaculate and the people who work there were very friendly and helpful, added bonus - your camping fee includes admittance to all the state parks in the area!

this campground is flat, well maintained, bathroom houses are in excellent condition (heat is on in cool weather) showers & toilets are clean .... located right on the water. I would definitly stay here again. there are places to park a trailer or tents.... the sites are pretty big and give you lots of room... you are about 2-3 min from Fort Niagara and 15-20 min away from the Niagara Falls. there is a registration bldg but when we passed no one was ever there. Our last day is when we officially checked in & out. overall excellent trip!
