Hampton Inns are not known to be upscale, but this hotel is an exception. The faciliites are all new, and each stay at hotel has been a very good experience. The staff is so helpful, friendly and the breakfast is great.

Visiting our daughter in Yonkers....normally we stay in Manhattan to enjoy "the big city" and she comes down to join us. However, looking at prices, we decided to HALF our costs and found the Hampton Inn & Suites in Yonkers. Very glad we did.
It seems to be a fairly new property which is great. Nice bed, clean room, free internet, free breakfast. Also had a small bar area where we enjoyed a drink at night ($6 for the special). As a first time Hampton Inn (Hilton Honors member), we received a granola bar and a bottle of water at checkin which was nice. This is in a great location right in the center of Yonkers (walking distance to an Appleby's and to a Dunkin Donuts, if interested). Another great feature, was the FREE shuttle to and from the train station (either the Yonkers Station or the Greystone Station). You just have to make a reservation for it and then call them from Manhattan when you are coming back. (We took the train to the Harlem station, walked 2 blocks to the subway where you can access almost anyplace in Manhattan. The 2-block walk is fine during the day....maybe a bit scary at night)
There were only 2 (minor) inconveniences: no in-room safe (that we could find) and no mini-frig/microwave (which we discovered when we came back with lots of yummy leftovers and then had to toss them out). However, these were small items compared to the great location to our daughter and the quality of the hotel. Future visits to Yonkers will have us staying here again. (just make sure you have GPS or print out a map....a little confusing to find)
Had stayed here last year & had a very good experience and was not disappointed this time. Greeted enthusiastically by the front desk staff, got a note from the manager welcoming us along with an acknowledgement for being Hilton Honors members. Had a spacious suite, which was very nice. Accomodations were clean and comfortable. Breakfast had a good variety of items. Location is handy to get to either NYC or CT. Plenty of parking. Would definitely stay here again.
If not as lucky as I am to receive a great corporate this hotel can be quite expensive but I guess that is normal for a fairly new, nicely equipped hotel near NYC. The rooms are very clean and the staff are attentive. The breakfast provided is your normal morning fare for an included deal. The only issue I have is with the onsite bar... wow, I ordered a double Bailey's on the rocks and shame on me for not asking the price.....$15.00, nearly the price of the bottle at the store. The location is good for me as I am on a project at an office located in the same parking lot
Traveling to visit colleges with my daughter and sight see along the way. This hotel was the best of the 5 total we stayed at on our trip. Accomodations clean and comfortable. Staff friendly, knowledgable and helpful. Shuttle van made getting to train and back easy and less stressful, a real asset for this area.
When on the road and not familiar with the area I always try and find a Hampton Inn if possible, so I am quite familiar with the hotel chain. This was one of the better Hampton Inns I have stayed at. The hotel is either relatively new or has been through a renovation. The Internet speed was quite good for hotel Internet.
