Glenis and Mike are exceptionally friendly, obviously adept builders, growers, cooks, conversationalists, oh, and also, stylish hosts. They have all the amenities you could want in their bed and breakfast, including bicycles for entire crew to explore the countryside. Our (adult) family had such a wonderful time with them in May we still talk about it--and though we live on various continents we are planning a return visit. Breakfasts are not to be missed, what with the fresh fruit straight from the garden, and make sure you schedule a dinner with them as well--what a delicious and fun time you'll have. You don't even have to worry about lunch, except for the champagne tasting. Good thing there is a fantastic place a bicycle's ride away; at Nomine Renard, you can have a wonderful tour and enjoy even better Champagne! Do chose this place, and enjoy!

Room Tip: We loved staying upstairs in the bedroom in the detached house, because of the hidden bookshelves...

Wonderful welcome, perfect room and delicious dinner. Our room (you would never guess it ws the old piggery) was spotless, comfortable and very large and light. Not only was the room equipped with tea and coffee with fresh milk in the fridge, Glynis also welcomed us with tea and chocolate cake. We had a delicious dinner, with champagne, with Glynis and Mike and had a great evening. Breakfast in the large kitchen was shared with another group of guests and more enjoyable food and conversation was enjoyed. Wish we had booked for longer….next time.

A fantastically welcoming B&B - we stayed here last April for 2 nights with our children (3.5 and 2 at the time). The owners, Glynis and Mike, are brilliant - can't do enough for you. Fabulous food - we ate dinner at the B&B both nights we were there. Very helpful people - assisted in tours of local Champagne houses! Can't wait to go back in April again :o)

We had an absolutely wonderful stay with Michael & Glenis. Rooms are gloriously spacious, designed with great style, with access to the fantastic garden (with parking available). At Glenis's recommendation we had been able to book a Champagne tasting at a local producer but never fear, there's a fridge in your room where you can either put your own wine or buy extra from your hosts. We came with young children, who were made very welcome. Dinner (which includes free flowing wine) was fantastic. Our girls ate first, whilst we had champagne aperitifs with our fellow guests. We then sat down to our dinner later and our girls had the run of the garden, Wendy house, trampoline, swings, etc. along with the host's own children. We didn't see them for dust, whilst secure in the knowledge they were completely safe. Every now and then they would stop play and get a drink and then rush off again (all within the gated grounds). Dinner was outside under the silver birch trees. Breakfast was a feast, again very sociable and in the kitchen. Michael & Glenis have had fascinating lives in the film industry and are very easy to talk to. None of us wanted to leave. So thank you, even though it's a bit late, Clea, Chris, Lena and Evie

We originally had booked to stay for 1 night, but immediately extended it to another night after a very warm welcome from Glenis. We had a delicious meal in the garden one evening. The room was one of a kind and extremely comfortable.

Glenis and a friend of hers kindly assisted us with (our very poor planning) planning our journey to the south of France, as well as pointed us in the right direction of hidden delights in this region.

This B&B was by far the BEST B&B we stayed at during our travels through France. We will definitely plan another trip and organise a group of friends.

We stayed only one night in Oyes, on our way back home this Summer. But surely we'll go back. Fantastic house, very cosy guest rooms, authentic village, friendly people.

(200 characters minimum review? Why is that? I have said what I had to say.) :-)

Stayed one night on our journey back to Calais. Sawday recommended. Wasn't easy for us to find - our SatNav didn't recognise the address in Oyes (pronounced Waah!) Owned by a Kiwi couple (Glenis & Mike) and they make this place what it is. Fantastic. We ate in the courtyard on a wonderful warm evening. Good food and excellent wines. Our room was a recently converted stable. Stylish and quirky interior design - Mike is also a set designer in the film industry. Took loads of photos to pinch some of their ideas! Massive bedroom and walk-in wet room. They also have a gite for rental. Great place to stay for drive/access to Epernay, Reheims or the Marne WW1 battlefields. We will stay there again. Excellent.
