This was my second or third visit to "Santa Fe" in Woodstock. There are three Santa Fe restaurants in the area, but this is the only one that I have visited. Not sure if Mexican connoisseurs would agree, but I have found dining here to be a very satisfying experience for more than just one reason.
First we received complementary salsa and chips which were great, but for some reason I was fully prepared to pay. After all that, we ordered their homemade guac and shrimp skewers apps, which were tasty and just enough. For an entree, I ordered the lobster quesadillas which I super-sized into a full entree for $6.00 extra. I'm still eating it today. Love the Mexican rice they serve with beans and a generous smattering of (pickled?) jalapenos.
I'm not crazy about the design, decor or interior of the place, but they make up for it in the service and taste departments! This might be an area they want to explore to be more competitive in their changing market.
Everyone in the place were super-friendly and accommodating from the busboy to the bartender and manager. And we really appreciate that!
I'd like to wish Santa Fe continued success!
