We were one of the 'leaf peepers' cluttering up the streets of Woodstock. Really, the town itself is not a restful place on a October weekend, it's as busy as any New York street. And Oriole 9 is vibrating with that energy.
It's lively, noisy, it's staff clearly rushed off their feet, efficient, friendly but too busy to give really good service. Food is fine, nothing wrong with anything we ate, but the crowds, the wait (it seemed to me that the average wait for a table was about 20-30 minutes) made me feel like we should get something spectacular rather than something just fine.
I think if we went on a quieter weekend, we might have a better impression but I was left feeling that I wouldn't need to go there again. I live in New York, I can find just as good/better here and when I go away for the leaves, I want something quieter and more charming.
