We found this B&B by chance and boy were we pleased. The home is just beautiful, filled with carefully selected little antique pieces and curios. You can expect to completely unwind, come away feeling like you met interesting people and lived in a little luxury. Here are some reasons why i am raving about Deforest:
1. The host are smart, well traveled and worldly. You can expect to be engaged (watch the clock, the next thing you know you've been chatting for an hour and no idea how time flew by)
2. Catheriene has impeccable taste. The white bedroom as very well decorated, with ample light flowing in. The bathroom was stocked with l'occitane products
3. The pool is a good addition, great shade and nice to hang out at night. No curfews here.
4. Close to town, hiking trail, Bridcliff yet far enough to hear the sound of the woods and spot deers by the dozen.
Enough said... must stay here.

I stayed at DeForest House for 3 restful nights. The house is beautifully decorated and the rooms are clean and luxurious. I stayed in the Moroccan Room and slept with the sliding door to the terrace open so I could hear the crickets while falling asleep. The bed was very comfortable and had a thin summer comforter with a duvet cover instead of a top sheet, which I prefer. The breakfast was delicious, and Catherine catered to my special dietary needs. The owners are lovely and I really enjoyed talking with them, and the 2 cats and 1 dog made it feel even more like home. I will stay here again the next time I visit Woodstock.

The owners of the B&B were super warm and friendly. They had great advice for the local eats, the breakfast included was wonderful, the room we stayed in was exceptionally clean, The house was wonderful. I brought my dog and the owner loved my dog that she babysat when I went out to eat. They were great, totally recommend this place!

Room Tip: There are 2 rooms, so not really much of a choice, but really beautiful land, go in warm weather to...

This is a new bed and breakfast opened by a French-American couple in the home that has been in his family for a couple of generations. She is an interior designer, and you have to marvel at the sheer beauty of the home, inside and out. The kitchen is especially impressive, as are the breakfasts she serves on demand with flexible hours! The house is within easy walking distance of downtown Woodstock yet surrounded by woods and wildlife--we saw deer out on the front lawn at dawn. The bedroom is cosy and warm. A drink in front of the fireplace here makes it a perfect place for fall/winter/spring, and the pool in the summer is an extra added benefit. We highly recommend.

Room Tip: Any room is a good room here.
